ICFAI Business School Mumbai was established in the year 1995 under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. IBS Mumbai offers programmes at the postgraduate level. The institute offers a PGPM programme for 2 years. To get admission to the institute candidates are required to fulfil the prescribed eligibility criteria set by IBS Mumbai.

IBS Mumbai offers students hostel facilities that are well-equipped with amenities like security cameras, well-maintained restroom facilities, and access to laundry services. This ensures a secure and comfortable living environment for all residents.

Careers360: Tell us something about yourself, such as where you are from.
Dhruv Narad:
I’m from Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Careers360: Presently, which course are you pursuing and in which year are you?
Dhruv Narad:
I’m currently pursuing the Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM) at IBS Mumbai and am in my first year.

Careers360: Did you face any difficulty in the initial months when you joined the institute?
Dhruv Narad:
Not at all! Being in my hometown and with the institute’s welcoming environment, the transition was smooth and enjoyable.

Careers360: What activities are offered in the institute? Are there any clubs, etc., for extracurricular activities? Which ones have you taken up and are a part of?
Dhruv Narad:
IBS Mumbai offers an impressive variety of activities through 21 clubs and 3 committees. I am actively involved in three clubs, which have provided great opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Careers360: Describe a typical day at your institute - what do you do from the time you wake up till you go to sleep?
Dhruv Narad:
My day starts with an 8:45 AM lecture. Breaks are spent catching up with friends, and post-classes, I participate in club activities. Evenings are reserved for assignments, submissions, group work, and spending time with peers.

Careers360: Tell us about the faculty-student ratio here and the teacher-student relationship in your understanding.
Dhruv Narad:
The faculty-student ratio of 1:20 ensures balanced class sizes. The faculty at IBS Mumbai is approachable and supportive, fostering a highly engaging and interactive environment.

Careers360: What facilities do you have on campus? What do you like the most that feels unique and differentiating?
Dhruv Narad:
IBS Mumbai facilities include a world-class gym with the latest equipment, multiple cafeterias, and a robust security system to ensure student safety. My favorite spot is the first-floor canteen, known for its lively and friendly atmosphere.

Careers360: How comfortable are your hostels, and what about the cleanliness factor?
Dhruv Narad:
Since I’m from Mumbai, I stay at home. However, the campus is exceptionally clean and well-maintained, providing a refreshing environment.

Careers360: What about medical facilities? Can you avail requisite medical attention if needed in an emergency?
Dhruv Narad:
First-aid services are readily available on campus. Additionally, LH Hiranandani Hospital, located just across the road, ensures prompt medical care in case of emergencies.

Careers360: How do you balance your studies, projects, exams, and other activities?
Dhruv Narad:
Time management is key. By prioritizing my tasks effectively, I can balance academics, extracurricular activities, and personal commitments seamlessly.

Careers360: Tell us about the clubs and societies at the campus and their significance from your or a student’s point of view.
Dhruv Narad:
The clubs and societies are instrumental in providing hands-on exposure, developing skills, and keeping students connected with industry trends. From a student’s perspective, they play a significant role in shaping personal and professional growth, besides being great mood elevators.

Careers360: Is there any in-house magazine or journal for the latest events or happenings at the institute?
Dhruv Narad:
Yes, the institute publishes a yearbook, and several clubs release newsletters and magazines to keep everyone updated on events and activities. The bi-annual campus magazine Manthan is a great read for all of us.

Careers360: What are the popular hangouts at the institute? What, according to you, are the most visited places nearby?
Dhruv Narad:
On campus, the first-floor canteen and the sixth floor are popular student hangouts. Nearby, the shopping area called Galleria is a favorite spot for students to relax and dine out.

Careers360: How do you spend your leisure time on campus?
Dhruv Narad:
I enjoy spending my free time chatting with friends, brainstorming ideas, or catching up with reading in the library for projects and assignments.

Careers360: Do you have any Facebook page for your campus where the students express their views, jokes, or ideas, or maybe even a blog where they write about their experiences of life on campus?
Dhruv Narad:
Yes, the campus has several social media pages where students actively share their thoughts and experiences, reflecting the vibrant campus culture. The digital ambassador posts regular events and campus happenings.
