The UPES Management Entrance Test (UPESMET 2026) is a university-level entrance test conducted by the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, Dehradun, for admission to its MBA programs. UPESMET is held multiple times a year. The UPES Dehradun has commenced the UPESMET exam 2026 registration process. Candidates interested in taking the UPES Management Entrance Test (UPES MET) can apply online at upes.ac.in. The applications from eligible candidates seeking admission to the MBA at UPES Dehradun are sought in online mode only.
UPES is a 2-hour-long test and consists of 140 multiple-choice questions across four sections—General English, Quantitative, General Awareness, and Analytical and Logical Reasoning. The UPESMET entrance exam is followed by a personal interview. The candidates who qualify for the test will be called for the PI round to be held online. Candidates will be allowed to choose a PI slot. The final merit will be based on performance in the written test and PI.
Besides the UPESMET, candidates can also apply through other national-level entrance exams such as CAT, MAT, CMAT, etc. The following national-level entrance exams will be accepted for shortlisting candidates for the admission process:
Note: 30 percent of the seats are filled through the national-level entrance tests. In case such seats are vacant, then UPES will fill those seats through UPESMET.

UPES Dehradun, the test conducting body of UPESMET, has specified the UPESMET 2026 exam pattern. It consists of 140 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) of one mark each from four sections, namely, Quantitative, General Awareness, Analytical and Logical Reasoning, and General English.
Each question will have four options, and the candidates are supposed to choose only one option. The selection of multiple options will be considered incorrect.

Scoring Pattern- UPES MET 2026 exam pattern is a CBT test with multiple-choice questions. There is no negative marking in UPESMET for the wrong answer, and for a correct answer, one mark will be given. No mark will be given or deducted for unattempted questions.
The UPESMET exam 2026 admit card is an important document to take the exam. However, as the UPES MET is held as a centrally proctored test, the availability of the UPESMET admit card depended on the mode of the exam (offline/ online). The test link and details will be shared with candidates one day before the exam.
The result of UPES MET 2026 will be announced on the official website on the stipulated date as mentioned in the notification. UPES MET is generally conducted multiple times, and the result for each session is announced individually.

After the declaration of UPES MET result 2026, the PI rounds will be conducted, and the slot booking for the same will also be done. Also, aspirants who have applied through CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, NMAT by GMAC, and GMAT scores will be invited for GD/PI rounds to be conducted in online mode.
Shortlisted candidates will have to undergo the online GD/PI process, else his/her candidature will be cancelled, and the vacant seat will be allotted to the next suitable candidate.
