Before you apply yourself for the MDI Gurgaon PGDM program, it is essential for the candidate to go through the eligibility criteria which is as follows:
To begin with, all candidates must have secured at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in their Class 10th and 12th final exams.
Next, candidates should have a minimum of three- year Bachelor’s degree or similar from a recognised university/institution to pursue PGDM, PGDM-HRM and PGDM- Business Analytics programs.
Final year students are also eligible to apply, provided they complete all degree requirements by June 30, 2025 and submit the necessary proof by October 31, 2025.
Lastly, specific work experience requirements may also apply, particularly for programs like PGDM-IB or Executive PGDM-BM. Programs like these require a minimum work experience of five years of post qualification work experience.

Applicants who wish to pursue a programme from MDI Gurgaon will need to pay an application fee of Rs. 3,000 (inclusive of 18% GST) for the 2026-28 admission cycle. All candidates must note that MDI Gurgaon does not consider sectional cut-off scores for admission; therefore all candidates will not have to meet minimum cut-off scores in each section of the CAT exam.

To answer your question, NO. All the students of premier B-schools in India do not have the above criteria. Though they are preferred, but what all the students have is a good profile, with good academics, and good co-curricular and extra-curricular.
Also, having work-ex is not mandatory, though it would help you is B-schools.

But your CAT score and GD-PI play a major part in the interview process.
