Top Private MBA Colleges as per NIRF Rankings 2025: There are over 60+ MBA private colleges in India, giving MBA aspirants immense options to choose from. As per the latest NIRF 2025 rankings, MDI Gurgaon has topped the ranking list by jumping from 11th position to 9th position for MBA admission 2026-28, making it the highest-ranked private MBA college in India. This year, MDI Gurgaon gained an NIRF score of 71.96. NIRF MBA 2025 ranking is then followed by IMT, XLRI Jamshedpur, Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune and others.

Jamia Hamdard and IMT Hyderabad are the biggest gainers for the NIRF 2025 ranking, showing rapid improvements in private MBA education quality. While Chandigarh University (-56) and Chitkara University (-20) saw the steepest drops.

To answer your question, NO. All the students of premier B-schools in India do not have the above criteria. Though they are preferred, but what all the students have is a good profile, with good academics, and good co-curricular and extra-curricular.
Also, having work-ex is not mandatory, though it would help you is B-schools.

To be honest, it seems that you have a decent profile, and obviously your active participation in sports is a boon in your Resume.
But your CAT score and GD-PI play a major part in the interview process.
Considering you score a 94+ percentile, and have a decent GD-PI round, I hope that you have good chances of converting MDI.

In answer to your question, I think that you have a pretty good chance to get in the top IIM's, and the premier B-schools in India. Though, your CAT score and your performance in GD-PI play a pretty important role in the process.
