Careers360. Tell us something about yourself?

Khyati Gupta. My name is Khyati Gupta. I am pursuing my Post Graduate Program in Management from ICFAI Business School, Gurgaon in the marketing domain. After completing my B.Com (Hons) from Delhi University, I started my career with the Volvo Eicher group in their Corporate Finance department as a Junior Manager where I was responsible for handling and managing accounts of stakeholders and auditing mutual funds accounts.

Careers360. Tell us something about your IBS campus and what made you choose it.

Khyati Gupta. At IBS Gurgaon the focus is placed on active student participation in real-world problem-solving processes and the development of practical frameworks through case studies and live projects. It is a practice-oriented business school focused on providing holistic perspectives to students. These factors made the ICFAI Business School unique and attractive for me.

Careers360. What is the course you are pursuing at IBS and what made you choose this specialization?

Khyati Gupta. I am pursuing a Post Graduate Program in Management programme in management with a major in marketing and minor in analytics. I choose this since I've always had a creative bent. Additionally, marketing gives you a bird's eye view of the organization and enables you to better understand your consumers and their buying behavior.

Careers360. Summer Internship Program (SIP) is mandatory at all IBS campuses, where did you pursue it and what was the duration? What were the steps to get into it?

Khyati Gupta. I did my internship with Lite Bite Foods Pvt. Ltd. in their marketing department for 14 weeks. Lite Bite Foods is one of the regular Summer Internship recruiters at IBS. My seniors also confirmed that they had a good internship experience at this company. Their hiring process included two rounds of interviews after the initial shortlisting of resumes.

Careers360. Please give details on the assistance you received from the faculty, peer and placement office with regard to internship.

Khyati Gupta. Some of the reasons because of which I was able to face the internship interviews with confidence and emerge successful are strong theoretical concepts, application of the concepts in the case study approach of learning, personal attention through mentoring sessions, building of personality through student club activities at ICFAI Business School.

The IBS placement team also interacts regularly with the students in the IBS Mentoring Placement Advisory Counselling and Training sessions and makes us aware about the expectations of the recruiters which enabled me to better prepare myself for the internship process.

Careers360. How was your experience with the summer internships? What are the key takeaways that you can look back on from it?

Khyati Gupta. My experience was enriching. I gained hands-on experience in brand management, social media marketing, data analytics, and rebranding during my internship. I was closing working on these projects which enhanced my creativity, problem solving, and analytical skills.
