The BBA Curriculum consists of three different components - Core courses, Elective courses and Field experience in the form of Faculty Guided Project (FGP). The core and elective courses are delivered over 6 semesters. The core courses establish a strong foundation in major functions of business like marketing, finance, human resources, analytics, communication, IT, operations and strategy.
Q. Tell us something about yourself such as from which place are you from?
Ans: My name is Srutali Satpathy. I am highly motivated, filled with enthusiasm, and possess an optimistic viewpoint. I come from the city Keonjhar known for its waterfalls, natural beauty and cultural significance.
Q. Presently which course are you pursuing at KIIT School of Management and in which year are you?
Ans: I am currently in my final year of BBA with a specialisation in Marketing at KIIT School of Management.

Q. Describe a typical day at KSOM- what do you do from the time you wake up till you go to sleep?
Ans: Each day feels like an opportunity to learn something out of the box, experience everything around the corner and excel. It’s a 9 to 3:30 rigorous teaching-learning routine every day which is then followed up by some extra upskilling certification courses back at the hostel and some personal time laying on bed listening to music and talking to friends and family.
Q. Tell us about the faculty-student ratio here at KSOM and about the teacher-student relationship in your understanding.
Ans: KSOM has a 1:10 faculty-student ratio. Mentoring at KSOM is unique and contributes significantly to the academic and emotional well-being of a student. Here, a student is attached to a faculty mentor for three years and develops a special bond with the faculty, resulting in a greater exchange of ideas and improved career guidance.

Q. How comfortable are KSOM hostels and how about the cleanliness factor over there?
Ans: The hostel at KIIT School of Management in which I stay feels like home.
Q. What about the KIIT School of Management medical facilities? Can you avail requisite medical attention if needed in an emergency?
Ans: We have KIMS - Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences in our university campus which is just a stone’s throw away from KSOM. It is accessible to all students.

Q. How do you balance your studies, projects, exams and other activities at KIIT School of Management?
Ans: Everything falls into place with proper planning. Allocating tasks and fitting them into my daily routine makes it easier to focus on each activity that I want to do on a regular basis.
Q. Tell us about the clubs and societies at the campus and how significant are they from your point of view or students' point of view.
Ans: Learning comes from practical experiences. KSOM walks the talk with a dedicated wing of student activities which are run by several different clubs boxed into domain, non-domain and social.

Q. Do you have any Facebook page of your campus where the students express their views, jokes or ideas, or maybe even a blog where they write about their experience of life at campus?
Ans: KSOM has its Facebook page (facebook.com/ksombbsr) and Instagram page (instagram.com/ksombbsr) where we tag and comment. Apart from it, KSOM also has its blog, probably the only one in the university where students and faculty contribute towards its content (blog.ksom.ac.in).

Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology School of Management offers a two-year, full-time MBA programme at the postgraduate level. Candidates who have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate or equivalent CGPA from any recognised university or possess an equivalent qualification can apply for the programme. Candidates must have also obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate or equivalent CGPA in the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams. Candidates seeking admission to the MBA programme offered at KSOM Bhubaneswar must appear for CAT / XAT/ CMAT / GMAT/ MAT / KIITEE Management. The institute does not offer direct admission to candidates.
Based on the performance in the above mentioned entrance examination, candidates are called to appear for the Group Discussion, Personal Interview, and Writing Ability Test process. The final selection to the programme is based on candidate’s performance in the GDPI and WAT, career marks, and entrance score. Therefore, you cannot get a seat at KSOM Bhubaneswar through the direct admission in MBA programme at without entrance examination.
