Goa Institute of Management Admission 2019 - Goa Institute of Management (GIM) offers a two-year full-time PGDM programme. The institute shortlists candidates for its admission process on the basis of their scores in national-level MBA entrance exams CAT (Common Admission Test), CMAT (Common Management Admission Test and GMAT (Graduate Management Aptitude Test). The institute conducts the selection rounds which include a Writing Ability Test known as WAT and a Personal Interview round. Goa Institute of Management Admission - Eligibility Criteria
As per AICTE norm, for PGDM, PGDM (HCM), and PGDM (BDA) minimum 50 percent aggregate marks (45 percent for candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in a three-year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) recognized by the Association of Indian Universities/AICTE are required.
Candidates satisfying all requirements for the degree by June 5, 2019, may also apply. If an applicant does not complete all degree-related requirements by the mentioned deadline or does not obtain 50 percent aggregate marks, the offer of admission will stand cancelled. Candidates in the last year of degree should have obtained minimum 50 percent aggregate in the latest examination.
The intake capacity for full-time PGDM course is 240, for PGDM (HCM) course it is 60, and for PGDM (BDA) course it is 120. For admission to PGP in Business Management 2019–2021, only candidates registering for XLRI Admissions Test XAT 2019 of XLRI, Jamshedpur or CAT- 2018 of the IIMs or GMAT conducted by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) taken between 1st January 2017 and 20th January 2019 or CMAT- 2019 of AICTE may apply.

Applicants are required to take XAT 2019 or CAT- 2018 or GMAT examination taken between 1st January 2017 and 20th January 2019 or CMAT - 2019. Applicants with GMAT are required to inform GMAC latest by February 11, 2019, to send the official score directly to GIM.Apply online - Last date for online application for CAT is December 15, 2018 and for XAT/CMAT/GMAT is 1st January 2019 (With late fee, it is 4th January 2019)
Interview Centres: Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi and Varanasi (All centres are subject to availability).For PGDM (BDA), shortlisting for face-to-face evaluation shall be on the basis of profiles (XAT, CAT, GMAT, or CMAT score, qualification, past academic performance, and work experience). Shortlisted candidates shall be invited for the interview process in various cities in early March 2019.Candidates for PGDM (BDA) will need to take an online aptitude test called GAAT (GIM Analytics Aptitude Test). The date and time slots for GAAT will be announced by GIM. The candidates will be sent a test link for GAAT, which can be taken from anywhere at the designated date and time slots. Please note internet connection and with a computer system having working webcam and mic will be mandatory to attempt the test.

What is GAAT?
GAAT stands for GIM Analytics Aptitude Test. This test conducted by GIM is intended to assess a student's aptitude in the areas of Linear Algebra, Calculus, Geometry, Trigonometry and Creative Thinking. The test is for a duration of 60 minutes. The test does not have any strict sections based on the topics stated above. This aptitude test will be administered online. Every wrong answer will carry a negative mark. The objective assessment for BDA shall be based on GAAT score and XAT, CAT, GMAT, or CMAT score.
The final selection for PGDM (BDA) shall be made on the basis of objective assessment (45 percent weightage), past academic performance (15 percent weightage), work experience, if any (10 percent weightage), and performance in face-to-face evaluation (30 percent weightage). This is subject to obtaining desired proficiency in written communication and the minimum score for each evaluation component, except work experience. The objective assessment for BDA shall be based on GAAT score and XAT, CAT, GMAT, or CMAT score.
For PGDM (HCM), shortlisting for face-to-face evaluation shall be on the basis of profiles (XAT, CAT, GMAT, or CMAT score, qualification, past academic performance, and work experience). The final selection for PGDM (HCM) shall be made on the basis of objective assessment (40 percent weightage), past academic performance (15 percent weightage), work experience, if any (10 percent weightage), performance in face-to-face evaluation (30 percent weightage) and Profile Assessment Index (5 percent weightage). This is subject to obtaining desired proficiency in written communication and minimum score for each evaluation component, except work experience. The objective assessment for HCM shall be based on XAT, CAT, GMAT, or CMAT score.
For PGDM, a select group of candidates shall be invited to Goa for Achiever's Round of the interview process in January 2019. All other candidates shall be invited for Regular Round in early March 2019 at various interview centres.
