Careers360: Tell us about yourself and what made you choose the college as your alma mater.

Hitesh Motwani: My name is Hitesh Motwani, and I’m from Pune. I chose IBS Pune because the IBSAT entrance process was smooth and transparent and the college offers excellent facilities focused on overall student development. The structure of the program and its emphasis on practical learning made it the right choice for me.

Careers360:How would you describe the overall academic atmosphere on campus?

Hitesh Motwani: The academic atmosphere is very collaborative and supportive. The focus is on developing a strong learning mindset. The college provides various opportunities that help me grow both personally and professionally.

Careers360: Do you find the library, labs, and digital resources sufficient for your academic needs?

Hitesh Motwani: Yes, the library has an excellent collection of books and I often visit to read self-help and management related books that interest me. I also enjoy working in the IT lab, where we learned tools like SPSS and SAP. These resources are more than sufficient for my academic and skill development.

Careers360: How approachable and supportive are the faculty members outside the classroom?

Hitesh Motwani: The faculty members are very approachable and supportive. They often go out of their way to mentor, guide and help students beyond classroom learning.

Careers360: Are there opportunities for interdisciplinary learning, research, or innovation?

Hitesh Motwani: Yes, IBS Pune encourages interdisciplinary learning through case studies, guest lectures, and application-based assignments. We also participate in role plays and presentations during lectures that make learning interactive and practical.

Careers360: What student clubs, committees, or organizations are most active and engaging?

Hitesh Motwani: IBS Pune has nine active clubs across different domains. Each club has a unique focus like the Research Club, which promotes student and career development through research, or Silver Tongue, which enhances public speaking skills. There are also domain-specific clubs in Marketing, Finance, HR, and Operations, along with weekly management games that keep the campus lively and engaging.

Careers360: Are events like cultural fests, sports meets, and social activities held regularly at your campus? If yes, did you participate, and how was the experience?

Hitesh Motwani: Yes, the annual fest Zeal is one of the biggest events at IBS Pune. Students from various colleges participate in management games, sports, and cultural events. I have both participated in and organized events during Zeal. It’s a wonderful experience to collaborate with different teams and see creative ideas come to life!

Careers360: Do you have a favourite spot on campus? If so, what is it, and why does it stand out to you?

Hitesh Motwani: My favourite spot is the cafeteria. It’s where I’ve made some of my best memories, sharing meals, brainstorming ideas, and having both fun and meaningful conversations with peers and juniors.

Careers360: How effective is the career services/placement cell in guiding and preparing students?

Hitesh Motwani: The placement cell is very active and supportive. It conducts regular pre-placement sessions and keeps us informed about upcoming opportunities. The PACT and SLP sessions also play a key role in helping students understand industry expectations and prepare effectively.

Careers360: What challenges do you face in balancing academics with extracurricular activities?

Hitesh Motwani: The course is fast-paced, and balancing academics with extracurricular activities can be challenging at times. However, the college provides good guidance and support, which helps us manage both effectively.

Careers360: Are there any suggestions or improvements you would like to see to make campus life better?

Hitesh Motwani: Overall, the campus experience is excellent. One area of improvement could be increasing the frequency of industry interaction sessions to further enhance practical exposure.

Careers360: What is one memory from your time at the college that you think you’ll cherish the most after you graduate?

Hitesh Motwani: The day I received my placement offer will always be a cherished memory. It was a proud and fulfilling moment that reflected all the hard work and learning I gained at IBS Pune.

Careers360: Would you recommend this campus to future students? Please state your reasons.

Hitesh Motwani: Yes, I would definitely recommend IBS Pune. The courses are industry-relevant, the faculty is highly experienced, and the curriculum is extensive. The college focuses strongly on career readiness and practical learning, making it an ideal choice for management education.

IBS Accept score card of CAT and IBSAT. CAT Cutoff is around 70 percentile.

IBSAT 2021, organised by IFCAI Business School (IBS) is the entrance exam to select students for MBA, PGPM and Ph.D programs. The paper is divided into four sections - Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability and Data Adequacy & Data Interpretation. The total number of questions will be 140 and the duration of the test is two hours.

ICFAI Business School, Pune , popularly known as IBS Pune, is one of the branches of the IBS group. The college offers UG, PG, and Doctoral courses in Management out of which the popular course is the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM) also known as MBA.

You can get admission in IBS Pune by IBSAT, It is conducted at national level by The ICFAI for MBA/PGPM admissions at nine IBSAT participating institutes. The IBSAT cutoff decides the minimum number of marks required for getting selected for next rounds of admission process. It also accept CAT Score.

see there is post graduate diploma and mba course in business analytics. however you have to decide which course you want to do. pgdm course is of 1-2 years depends on the institute. mba course in data analytics is of 2 years duration. admission is based on entrance exams score like cat, xat, mat, cmat etc. now you may quit the current course and again prepare for competitive exam. some of the best college for mba in business analytics is,

Universal business school Mumbai is a better option than ibs business school Mumbai . The placement record at ubs is much better as thr highest salary package went upto 16 lakh and average package around 5 lakh. In ibs the placement goes around 5 to 7 lakh best to average.
