Determining Factors of NMAT Cutoff 2023

Selected students will be able to take admission only after the declaration of NMIMS NMAT cut off 2023. Before announcing the NMAT 2023 cutoff various parameters are taken into account by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). The NMAT 2023 result is declared in online mode, post which the NMAT cutoff will be released by authorities.

Based on the previous year's NMIMS NMAT cut off, we can say that the NMAT cutoff 2023 will not vary much. The cutoff of NMAT 2023 will be determined keeping in mind the postgraduate admission process. NMAT cutoff will be released by the participating colleges based on some determinants which are given below -

  • Number of registrations
  • A number of candidates appeared
  • Reservation criteria
  • Availability of seats
  • The difficulty level of NMAT exam 2023
  • Past year cutoff trends

A full description of NMAT 2023 cutoff determining factors can be checked by candidates below:

  • Candidates appeared - Before finalising the NMAT cutoff 2023, authorities always keep in mind the number of candidates who appeared for the NMAT entrance exam. When the number of candidates appearing for the exam is more, then the NMAT cutoff 2023 released will be on the higher side. If not, then vice versa.
  • Reservation criteria - This is an important determinant while finalising the cutoffs. Categories like SC/ ST etc., play an important role and the expected average NMAT cutoff is decided. Candidates belonging to the SC/ ST/ OBC category might have a lower admission cut off as compared to those who belong to open categories.
  • Availability of seats - This is the basis and most common factor that might be considered at the time of determining the cutoff of NMAT 2023 is the number of available seats. For example, if the number of candidates applying is less than the actual seats available in participating colleges, then the participating colleges will release a lower NMAT 2023 cutoff.
  • The difficulty level of NMAT 2023 -Participating colleges of NMAT 2023 will consider the difficulty level of the exam before they fix the cutoff for admissions in the new session.
  • Past year cutoff trend - While deciding the NMAT cutoff 2023, participating institutes will also consider the previous trends of the cutoff. The new cutoff is set somewhere near the past trends.
