About MUCMET 2023

Mumbai University Common Management Entrance Test (MUCMET) is conducted by University of Mumbai every year for admission to Integrated BMS+MBA course offered at Mumbai’s Thane Sub Campus. The state-level exam will be conducted in paper-pencil mode. In order to appear for the exam, candidates must have passed Higher Secondary/Intermediate or equivalent from a recognized board with minimum 45% (40% for reserved category) in any stream. Interested candidates can fill the application of MUCMET 2023 in online mode. As per the exam pattern prescribed by Mumbai University, MUCMET 2023 will be held for a duration of two hours and will consist of 100 questions. Post MUCMET 2023, a merit list will be released and the successful candidates can seek admission on the basis of same.

  • Candidates must have cleared their Higher Secondary School Certificate / Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent certificate from a recognized Board

  • They must have scored a minimum of 45% aggregate (40% aggregate in case of Reserved category) from Science, Commerce, Arts or any other stream / discipline

  • They should be below 20 years of age (22 years in case of Reserved category and PWD candidates)

  • 85% seats in MU for BMS-MBA programme at Thane sub-campus shall be reserved for the students qualified and domiciled in Maharashtra

Interested candidates should apply through the prescribed form available on the official website: of MU along with the Demand Draft of any nationalized bank in favour of “Finance and Accounts Officer, University of Mumbai”. The application process of MUCMET 2023 has been started on the official website.

How to apply for MUCMET 2023?

  • Visit the Mumbai University website and select Thane Sub Campus tab. On the new page, the candidate will find BMS-MBA (Integrated) link which will take them to the MUCMET application form.

  • MUCMET 2023 registration form must be submitted by post or in person before the deadline along with relevant documents and a demand draft of Rs 500 (Rs 250 for Reserved category students) drawn in favour of Finance and Accounts Officer, University of Mumbai.

  • Candidate must send the relevant documents along with the form and the demand draft at the following address:

MUCMET comprises Multiple Choice questions in the areas of Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical/Abstract Reasoning, and General Awareness. In all, there would be a total of 100 questions to be answered and the total time allotted is 2 hours (120 minutes). All answered need to be marked using a black ball-point pen as the mode of answering is offline mode. For every correct answer, candidate will be awarded one mark. Negative marking of 0.25 marks or 1/4th of the marks allotted to a question will be deducted for each incorrect response.

                                                    The University of Mumbai will issue the hall tickets of MUCMET 2023. Only the candidates who have successfully completed their application forms and made the payment will be issued the hall ticket of MUCMET. Candidates will not be allowed to appear in the test without the call letter of MUCMET 2023 and a photo identity proof.

                                                    MUCMET Result will be declared in online mode. It will be released in the form of MUCMET merit list. Candidates can check their roll numbers in the list. After the announcement of the MUCMET result, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their ranks for admission based on All India Merit Rank of Mumbai University Common Management Entrance test (MUCMET). Shortlisted candidates have to report to the designated college, pay the admission fee and submit the documents required. A total of 60 vacancies are available in the Integrated Program of BMS-MBA at Thane sub-campus of University of Mumbai.

MUCMET 2020 was expected to be held in third week of June 2020 in paper-pencil mode but due to the ongoing pandemic the exam is delayed and there is no information regarding when the exam will be conducted.
