IIM Sambalpur has released the admission criteria for MBA for the academic year 2025–27. IIMS has revised the MBA admission procedure this year. As per the revised IIM Sambalpur admission process 2025, candidates need not apply through CAP 2025. The IIM Sambalpur selection process is purely merit-based based on CAT 2024 scores, academic records, work experience, and gender balance. Shortlisted candidates can choose their preferred mode of interview, i.e., online or offline. The PI for IIM Sambalpur MBA admission 2025 is scheduled to be held on March 3 to April 18, 2025. IIM Sambalpur Admission Criteria 2025
IIM Sambalpur has released the new admission process for batch 2025-27. As per the revised admission policy, IIM Sambalpur has exited CAP 2025. The IIM Sambalpur MBA admission process offers flexible interview modes, including online and offline options, and emphasizes a streamlined and personalized approach.
The admission criteria for IIM Sambalpur consist of three stages for the academic batch of 2025–2027. IIM Sambalpur will consider the CAT 2024 score when shortlisting candidates for Personal Interview (PI). Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for all the selection rounds, which will be conducted by IIM Sambalpur.

IIM Sambalpur Admission Criteria 2025
IIM Sambalpur admission criteria 2025 comprises three stages primarily. The first one is the shortlisting of the candidates on the basis of the CAT score. The admission process of IIM Sambalpur is divided into three stages:.

1. IIM Sambalpur Admission Criteria 2025: CAT 2024-Based Shortlisting
In Stage 1, all the eligible candidates who have appeared for CAT 2024 and have selected IIM Sambalpur as one of their preferences in the CAT 2024 registration form will be considered.
IIM Sambalpur will first shortlist candidates who have secured a pre-determined minimum percentile both in each section as well as overall, in CAT 2024. Only candidates obtaining a positive (greater than zero) raw score in all the sections of CAT 2024 will be considered.

All the candidates shortlisted in Stage-1 will be sent an email in January 2025 containing a link to an online application form on the admission portal of IIM Sambalpur.
2. IIM Sambalpur Admission Criteria 2025: Pre-Personal Interview Shortlisting
For all the candidates shortlisted in the first stage and who later successfully completed and submitted the online IIM Sambalpur MBA application form, a Pre-PI Score will be calculated out of 80 as follows:

3. IIM Sambalpur Admission Criteria 2025: Personal Interview and Final Merit List
Based on the Stage 2 shortlist, all the eligible candidates will be required to attend the IIM Sambalpur Personal Interview process. Failure to attend the PI will lead to the candidate being disqualified from the IIM Sambalpur admission process for the MBA 2025-27 batch. The minimum score would be decided by IIM Sambalpur at its discretion.

IIM Sambalpur Admission Criteria 2025: Offer Acceptance fee and Withdrawal
A candidate receiving an admission offer from IIM Sambalpur and accepting the offer within the stipulated date needs to send an Offer Acceptance Amount of Rs. 50,000 along with the Offer Acceptance Form on IIM Sambalpur’s admission portal.
A candidate who has paid the offer acceptance fees but wants to withdraw will be permitted to do so if his/her request is received by the Admissions Office by the stipulated date mentioned in the admission offer letter. The received fee will be refunded to the candidate after deducting Rs. 1000 for processing charges. If the number of candidates who accepted the admission offer exceeds the planned intake, the refund would be processed on a ‘first-come, first-served’ basis.
NOTE: No refund requests will be entertained if the number of candidates accepted for IIM Sambalpur admission offer is less than or equal to the planned intake for the year.
