IIM Jammu has released its admission criteria for the 2026-28 MBA batch. For getting an interview call from IIM Jammu, the minimum qualifying CAT cutoffs have been set to 91 (male), 89 (female, transgender) for the General category and 74 (male), 72 (female, transgender) for the EWS category. Similarly, the IIM Jammu CAT cutoff 2025 for SC/ST candidates will be in the range of 30-54. As per the IIM Jammu admission criteria, 42% weightage will be given to the CAT 2025 score, 30 % weightage to PI, and 28% will be given to the academic profile ( academic profile + work experience + diversity). 152034 (Gen), 13356 (EWS), 42382 (Nc-OBC), 18709 (SC), 4618 (ST) and 887 (PwD) students were shortlisted based on their CAT 2023 percentile from over a lakh of applicants for the 2024-2026 batch.
7793 (General), 2186 (EWS), 5723 ( NC-OBC), 30335 (SC), 1409 (ST) and 364 (PwD) candidates were shortlisted for the PI round for the 2024-26 batch.
IIM Jammu admission process 2026 will now be conducted via the IIM CAP 2026 and IIM SAP 2026.

The IIM Jammu 2026 admission process comprises the following steps for MBA admission 2026-28.
CAT 2025 Exam
Shortlisting the candidates for the Personal Interview (PI) process.
Preparing the IIM Jammu merit list based on CAT, PI and Profile scores
Issue of Provisional admission offer or the refund of fee by June 21, 2025 (5:30 PM), tentatively.
Stage I - PI Shortlisting Based on IIM Jammu CAT 2025 Cutoff

Shortlisted candidates from stage I of the IIM Jammu selection process 2026 will have to appear for the IIM Jammu Personal Interview 2026.

Both IIM Jammu and NIBM Pune are excellent for the MBA. One thing is that IIM Jammu carries it's own prestigious reputation of being an IIM where as the NIBM Pune has strong connections when it comes to banking and finance sector and the placements are also well praised for NIBM.
To keep everything simple I would suggest NIBM Pune as it offers better placements and importantly it's proximity to your home city Mumbai.

Hope you are doing well ! Yes hostel is compulsory for all the students in the iim Jammu ,dayout is not allowed except saturday and Sunday . Also IIM Jammu, the students are provided with single occupancy room in which they provide the bed, Side table, Main table, all weather AC , Fan, Light, Cupboard, Lights, Charging port etc.

If you are interested in public services and want to help others, you can go for MBBS.
If you are interested in corporate job, entrepreneurship, business and more, go for BBA AND MBA.
Both fields are very good. If you still have confusion, go for career counselling test online or offline. You can also talk to your teachers and parents.
If you don't want to do either, write down your thoughts mentioning what you don't want to do, you will automatically know what to do.

Yes other states student gives the IPMAT exam. So you can give the IPMAT exam. Some restrictions are also there like IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak reserve all rights to decide the eligibility conditions for the exam.
Also, no intimation will be sent to candidates who are not selected for the final offer. Eligibility criteria are Minimum 60% in Standard SSC and HSC. And m aximum 20 years of age as on July 31, 2019

77 percentile in CAT and as you are belongs to EWS category as your choice of course in IIM Jammu which was established in the year of 2016 restricted by the IIM, Lucknow, you have chance to get admission in MBA courses.
To get chance in IIM Jammu the CAT percentile is needed 75% at least.
