hi I prefer learning for MBA in distance education. which is best for distance edu or regular classes? and career opportunities details?
MBA in regular mode is definitely more valuable compared to the one done in distance mode, the reason being it involves attending classes, interaction with faculty in person, so it's a traditional way of study with being closely involved in various activities of the concerned B-School, so a regular course can help you in your overall development whether it's academically, socially, personally. For fresher, a regular MBA is of two years while those who are working professionals or have work experiences can do executive MBA.
While on the other hand, distance learning program is more inclined towards self-study, you'll be provided with study materials, or perhaps virtual classes may be held depending on the university, the cost of pursuing distance MBA is comparatively less and you can do so from the convenience of your home, so there's flexibility of time. There's a lack of industry exposure in distance MBA, so if your sole reason of doing MBA is get a great placement in a company, you should go for regular mode, and choose a B-School which has great placement records as per previous year trends.
Distance MBA helps working professional to a large extent compared to a fresher with no experience, as they are already working,so they're already equipped with the knowledge of the industry and this course further increases their insights and prospects careerwise.
Some of the best university to do distance learning MBA with their course fee of full duration are
- Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) , Global Access School for Continuing Education (NGA-SCE) with course fee of Rs 83,000
- IGNOU offers MBA at an affordable fee of Rs 37800
- Symbiosis Center for Distance Learning has course fee of Rs 37000
- Institute of Management Technology, Centre for Distance Learning has a course fee of Rs 88,000
- Sikkim Manipal University Directorate of Distance Education has course fee of Rs 80000
