Candidates aspiring admission into Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSoM) must follow the eligibility criteria of IIT Kharagpur MBA 2020 admission, which are mentioned below:
Students must fulfill the following educational qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Medicine, Pharmacy or similar disciplines
Master’s degree in Economics/Commerce/Science (with Statistics or Mathematics in bachelor’s level)
6.5 CGPA on a scale of 10 points
6.0 CGPA on a scale of 10 points
Students who are appearing in the final year of qualifying examination or whose results are awaited can also apply for IIT Kharagpur MBA 2020 admission. However, their admission will stand on provisional basis until the candidate submits certificate latest by May 30, 2020.
IIT Kharagpur MBA admission 2020 for reserved category will be made as per the rules of Government of India.
Students who belong to PwD category must appear before medical board. The decision of the medical board will be final.
Authorities has released the application of IIT Kharagpur MBA admission 2020 from the next day of CAT 2019 result declaration (January 5). IIT Kharagpur MBA admission application form 2020 was available in online mode. Only candidates who will qualify CAT 2019 can fill the application form. Candidates who will qualify the eligibility criteria will be shortlisted for WAT-PI round on the basis of past academic performance, CAT 2019 score, and other criteria as mentioned below:
Note - Candidates belonging to the overseas category must a valid GMAT score instead of CAT score. The minimum score obtained by students must be at least 750.
Candidates will be shortlisted for WAT-PI round by scaling the CAT 2019 score out of 20 and Application Rating (AR) out of 20. Application rating includes the following details:

Percentage of marks awarded by the university at the time of bachelor’s/master’s will be treated as final. However, if the university doesn’t provide any percentage, the CGPA score of the candidate will be calculated by the following method:
Marks Percentage = 60 + (40/3.5) x [(CGPA obtained / Total CGPA) x 10 – 6.5]
2. Final Selection and Admission
On the basis of cumulative score obtained by the candidate inclusive of CAT 2019 score, application rating, GMAT score (only for overseas candidates) and WA-PI round, students will be shortlisted. The weightage for the final selection is as follows:

No, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of CAT score 2019 and Application Rating (AR).
For general category minimum CAT score required is 90. Whereas, for reserved category minimum score is 75.
