Candidates who qualified the eligibility criteria were shortlisted for WAT-PI round on the basis of past academic performance, CAT 2019 score, and other criteria as mentioned below:
Note - Candidates belonging to the overseas category must a valid GMAT score instead of CAT score. The minimum score obtained by students must be at least 750.
Candidates will be shortlisted for WAT-PI round by scaling the CAT 2019 score out of 20 and Application Rating (AR) out of 20. Application rating includes the following details:

Percentage of marks awarded by the university at the time of bachelor’s/master’s will be treated as final. However, if the university doesn’t provide any percentage, the CGPA score of the candidate will be calculated by the following method:
Marks Percentage = 60 + (40/3.5) x [(CGPA obtained / Total CGPA) x 10 – 6.5]

2. Final Selection and Admission
On the basis of cumulative score obtained by the candidate inclusive of CAT 2019 score, application rating, GMAT score (only for overseas candidates) and WA-PI round, students will be shortlisted. The weightage for the final selection is as follows:

Candidates aspiring admission into Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSoM) must follow the eligibility criteria of IIT Kharagpur MBA 2020 admission, which are mentioned below:

For general category minimum CAT score required is 90. Whereas, for reserved category minimum score is 75.
