The IIT Bombay MBA Placement 2026 report has been released, showcasing strong salary growth and diverse recruiter participation. As per the Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management (SJMSoM) placement 2026 data, the highest package stood at Rs. 53.80 LPA, while the average package increased by 9.18% to Rs. 28.16 LPA. The median salary for the 2024-2026 batch was Rs. 26 LPA. A total of 126 students were placed across 51 companies, with the highest number of offers coming from the pharmaceutical sector (23%), followed by consulting (20%). Notably, several new recruiters participated this year, including Aditya Birla Capital, Alvarez & Marsal, Bajaj Consumer Care, Berger Paints, Ernst & Young, ExxonMobil, Lupin, and Mahindra & Mahindra.
The recently published IIT Bombay Placement report highlighted the fact that the 126 students were placed in 51 recruiting companies. While out of these 35.3 % recruiters were new , the IIT Bombay MBA 2024-2026 batch got 35.7 % pre-placement offers.
