Dear aspirant, I think you have some confusion over the name. IIT MUMBAI and Mumbai University both are different.
For MUMBAI UNIVERSITY , admission for B.Tech course is on the basis of MH-CET exam.
For IIT MUMBAI , admission is on the basis of score obtained in JEE ADVANCED exam. You can't take admission in IIT MUMBAI on the basis of JEE MAINS. Also the score in JEE ADVANCED has to be among the top scorers as the cut off for IIT MUMBAI is highest among all the IITs.
All the best
Hope this helps
Hello Aspirant,
As far as I know along with clearing the overall cutoff you should also have to clear the sectional cutoff of every as well. Sectional cut off evey section is lower than the overall cutoff but it has to cleared if you want to get admission in SJMSOM, Since SJMSOM is the top college for management in Mumbai so it's has its high criteria set for getting admission.
But don't worry cutoff is based on the level of difficulty of the paper, So if you have work hard for the exam you won't be having any problems in clearing the cut off for different sections.
I hope the above information is beneficial for you
All the best.
