DU JAT 2017 Analysis - Moderate Difficulty Level test with easy Analytical and Logical Reasoning section

DU-JAT_2017-AnalysisDelhi University Joint Admission Test (DU JAT) for Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) was held on July 9, 2017 by the University of Delhi in 18 cities across India. DU JAT 2017 was conducted in online mode. This is the first time DU JAT has been conducted in computer based mode. Total duration of the exam was two hours. According to the expert analysis by Career Launcher, the difficulty level of the exam was moderate.

Before going for the detailed section wise analysis of DU JAT 2017, let us have a look at the exam pattern and the section wise difficulty level as shared by the Career Launcher expert. Describing the exam, the expert mentions, “There were a total of five sections out of which the first section was assorted. This section contained a total of 83 questions from different subjects. The second section was LR-1 which had five questions on arrangements and the third section was LR-2 with one DI set having five questions based on it. The fourth section was LR-3 having one arrangement set of four questions and the last section was English passage that contained 5 questions.”

Each question carried four marks and there was a negative mark of one mark for each wrong answer.

Most of the questions in this section were from current affairs with a couple of questions from static GK. The difficulty level of this section was easy to moderate.

 

General English

 

The reading comprehension passage was on Economics and Maps. Models were given in this section. There were five questions in reading comprehension passage. The topics included in English section were Reading Comprehension, Spelling, Antonyms, Fill in the blanks (single), Idioms and Grammar. The grammar questions were in the fill in the blanks format and covered topics such as tenses and prepositions. The antonyms were bit difficult. “Most students would find the English section of this year’s paper feasible”, says Career Launcher expert. The sectional difficulty level has been rated as Moderate.

Quantitative Aptitude

 

Most of the questions in this section were from Set theory, Limits, Coordinate Geometry, Relation and Function, Geometry, Sequence and series, Probability, Logarithm, Matrices and determinants, Statistics, Differentiation, Application of Integration and Equation/ Inequality. This section was of moderate difficulty level.

The result of DU JAT 2017 is expected to be declared in the third week of July 2017 after which qualified candidates will have to appear for the DU JAT selection procedure. As many as 15 colleges under University of Delhi are accepting DU JAT 2017 scores for 1162 seats under BMS, BBA (FIA) and B.A (Hons) Business Economics programmes. DU JAT answer key 2017 has been released by the University of Delhi on July 10, 2017.

There are lots of other examinations but DUJAT is most easiest and best examination to get admission into DU.
