IPMAT 2026: Exam Day Preparation

Before starting with the exam preparation, carefully read all the instructions provided on the IPMAT question paper. This will ensure you are clear about the exam format and any specific guidelines.

Familiarise with Computer-Based Test Format: Since IPMAT 2026 will be conducted in computer-based mode, it's crucial to get accustomed to onscreen reading. Remember, only one question will be displayed on the screen at a time, so focus on answering each question efficiently.

Adhere to Sectional Time Limits: Each section of the IPMAT question paper must be completed within 40 minutes. Keep a close watch on the timer as the section will automatically move to the next once the time is up. Proper time management is essential to avoid leaving questions unanswered.

Efficient Time Management: The overall IPMAT 2026 exam time is limited, and the exam window will close once the time is over. Avoid spending too much time on any single question. If you're unsure about an answer, move on to the next question to maximise the number of questions you can attempt.

Be Mindful of Negative Marking: For IPMAT 2026, Negative marking is in place, with one mark deducted for each incorrect answer. If you're uncertain about a question, it may be better to skip it rather than risk losing marks for a wrong answer.

IPMAT 2026 Exam Day Guidelines

A good result in the IPMAT entrance exam does not depend on how well you have prepared but on how well you have performed in the exam and how you handle those crucial hours. Usually, candidates end up making some silly mistakes that cost them crucial marks. Here are some of the guidelines for the IPMAT exam that candidates must not miss out on during their IPMAT exam preparation.

IPMAT Exam Day Instructions 2026

  • Before starting the IPMAT 2026 exam, candidates must read all the instructions printed on the IPMAT question paper.
  • IPMAT 2026 will be held in computer-based (CBT) mode; hence, candidates must get used to the onscreen reading
  • One question will be visible at a time on the computer screen
  • There is a sectional time limit in the IPMAT, each section of the IPMAT question paper must be tried to be solved within 40 minutes. So, candidates are advised to keep a close eye on the time.
  • The section will automatically switch to the next section once the time is up.
  • The IPMAT exam window will close automatically once the overall time limit is over.
  • Candidates must not spend more time on one question. If they do not know the answer to a particular question, then they must move on to the next
  • As per the IPMAT exam pattern, a negative marking scheme is applicable, so skipping a question is a better option than marking the wrong answer.
  • One mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer

Hello Disha

It's great that you're aiming for both SRCC (Shri Ram College of Commerce) through the CUET (Common University Entrance Test) and preparing for the IPMAT (Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test) . Balancing preparation for both can be challenging, but with the right strategy and resources, it's entirely achievable.

For CUET, focusing on your domain subjects (such as Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Mathematics, and English) is crucial. Given your goal of entering SRCC, it's advisable to select domain subjects that align with your strengths and the SRCC cutoff trends. Experts emphasize the importance of mastering the NCERT Class 11 and 12 syllabus for CUET preparation.

  • Domain Subjects : Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Mathematics.

  • General Test : Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Knowledge, Current Affairs.

  • Language Test : English. Career360.com (//Career360.com) or Kpclass can help you in providing all the study material and help.
