This year is the 11th cohort for the IIM Sambalpur MBA course. At the same time, it is the inaugural session for the MBA in Business Analytics at IIM Sambalpur. The students admitted to the IIM Sambalpur MBA 2025 came from diverse academic backgrounds.
While for the IIM Sambalpur flagship MBA courses, non-engineers (50.32%) have a slight edge against the MBA after B.Tech students (49.68%), the divide is huge in the 1st MBA in Business Analytics (MBA-BA) course. In the 2025-2027 session, students of the IIM Sambalpur MBA course came from different graduation degrees, as it went beyond engineering. According to the report of the Indian Express, among the non-engineers, 20% hold a B.Com. degree, 9 % have a B.Sc. degree.
