Yes, if a candidate scores 220 out of 400, then it is considered to be a good score. However, aspirants should try scoring more marks as the admission depends on the IPU CET cutoff that varies every year. Scoring these marks may not guarantee the admission into the top 5 IPU colleges, but can hope for the admission in other participating colleges.
Candidates to note that the rank obtained in the IPU CET will be determined by the marks scored. Every year, the ranks vary based on the previous year trends and by going through them, the below table provides the range estimation.

The IPU CET cutoff varies every year. There are several factors on which the IPU CET Cutoff is based. These factors influence whether 220 is a good score based on the current cutoff. These are as follows.
Total number of applicants - more number of applicants, then competition will be higher and the cutoff varies.
Difficulty level of the exam - based on the exam difficulty levels, the cutoff drops.
Seat availability - if the total number of seats available are more, then there is good scope of getting admission even at a lower score.
Past year trends - play an important role in the cutoff determination.
Category reservation - candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ST/EWS/PwD categories are offered relaxation percentage in cutoffs.

Hey! With a CML of 80 in IPU CET for B.Sc Nursing (Hons), you have a good chance of getting a seat in the first round of CET counselling (which is actually the third round in IPU counselling). Students with this CML are often allotted colleges, though the exact college depends on seat availability, category, and your preferences. CET scores alone are considered for B.Sc Nursing admissions, separate from NEET.
Hello,
Most of the B.Sc. Nursing seats in IPU are filled through NEET. Very few seats, if any, remain for CET candidates in later rounds or spot rounds. With a CET rank of 169, your chances are very low because priority is given to NEET qualifiers.
You can still wait for the spot round, but chances are limited.
Hope it helps !
Hello,
With a Common Merit List rank of 84 in the IPU CET for B.Sc Nursing, your chances are very good for top IPU-affiliated colleges like VMMC, RML, Army College of Nursing, and Rajiv Gandhi Institute. IPU conducts centralized counselling for B.Sc Nursing and seats are allotted based on CML ranks. Students in the top 100 usually secure seats in reputed institutes in the first or second round itself. Yes, seats are reserved but several remain for general candidates through counseling. Keep your documents ready and check IPU official website for more information.
Wishing you all the best for your admission!
Hello Siddhi
Could you please tell your course in the comment section of this answer. After that I could really tell why you didn't get a college even in 2nd round.
Moreover, there are two main reasons of net getting a college in counselling:
1. Low Rank
2. Bad Choice Filling/Preference
Please specify the course and I will help further.
Thank You!!!
Dear candidate ,
With a 667 rank in IPU CET , you have a strong chance at top colleges like USICT , MAIT , and VIPS .
If you did not get a seat in Round 2 , it could be due to :
- Not filling sufficient or correct college preferences.
- Seat availability being limited in early rounds .
