CMAT Merit List 2018 - The merit list of CMAT 2018 is expected to be declared in the second week of February 2018, along with the result. CMAT 2018 merit list will carry the list of test takers along with the section wise scores and percentiles in the order of their All India Rank (AIR). Last year, CMAT merit list was declared by AICTE, the exam conducting body on February 7, 2017. This year too, it is expected to follow a similar timeline. CMAT will be held on January 20, 2018. How is CMAT 2018 Merit List Prepared?
The marks are calculated on the basis of marking scheme stated in the CMAT exam pattern, which is +4 for each correct answer and -1 for each wrong answer
A national merit ranking system will be arrived based on total score
In case more than one candidate secures the same ranking as per the above criteria, the same Rank will be assigned to all of them but will be displayed by sorting their names alphabetically. The Rank of the subsequent candidate will then be extended by the number of additional students having the same Rank
Percentile calculation formula: Percentile P = ( (N- Rank of the candidate)/ N) x 100 (Where P is percentile and N is total number of candidates appeared for exam)
After the CMAT 2018 result is declared, participating institutes of CMAT will announce shortlist of candidates based on their CMAT cutoff. The shortlisted candidates will have to appear for the CMAT selection procedure of Group Discussion or Writing Ability Test and Personal Interview. There is no common counselling for CMAT and institutes conduct their admission process separately. Candidates have to apply for B-schools separately in order to be shortlisted by the institutes.
