CAT Admit Card 2024: Guidelines for Candidates with Visual Impairments
In the CAT 2024 Examination, the Admit Card is one of the useful things that the applicant needs to carry even for applicants with visual impairments. Not only does the CAT 2024 Admit Card contain useful information about those applicants with visual impairments. and exams, but it also works as a hall ticket. Without the CAT 2024 Admit Card, no one will be allowed to appear for the examination. So the applicants need to print the admit card(s) and carry it with them on the day of the examination.
However, the applicants with visual impairments first and foremost, need to carefully cross-check the admit card after they have downloaded the CAT 2024 Admit Card. They must have filled out and uploaded the required documents, needed for the CAT examination. Apart from that, visually impaired applicants need to fill in forms like Scribe Affidavit, and Certificate of Disability (Form V). These documents are needed for the day of examination along with their photographs and signatures or thumb impressions. These documents need to be carried out and produced at the time of the examinations. Without these documents, relaxations like scribes or extra time might not be given to the visually impaired Candidates. These forms can be downloaded from the official website- iimcat.ac.in.
Scribe Affidavit - This document needed to be duly filled by both the Scribe and the applicants. The scribe of PwD candidate needs to list out their education qualification and sign the statement that they are voluntarily playing their role as scribe. At the same time, the applicant also needs to declare that any discrepancies by the scribe would lead to the disqualification of the candidature.
Certificate of Disability (Form V) - This certificate, issued by the appropriate medical authority needs to be produced for the candidates who have faced amputation, who have complete permanent paralysis of limbs, and are survivors of dwarfism and blindness. The officials should also mention the percentage of the disability, which should be more than 40% to avail the relaxation.
