IIM Kozhikode has announced the criteria of admission for PGP batch of 2015-17. The B-School will follow a 2 stage admission procedure which includes shortlisting candidates through CAT scores and final selection on the basis of performance in Personal Interview.

Aggregate Index Score

An Index Score is calculated on the basis of CAT scores and the past academic records.

 

CAT Index Score

Scaled Scores from both the sections (with equal weightages) of CAT 2014 will go into the computation of the CAT Index Score. CAT Index Score will carry a weight of 75%.

 

Graduation Index Score

Marks are allotted on the basis of the percentage obtained in the graduation or till the final year of graduation, in case the candidates are in the final year of graduation, their latest aggregate marks would be considered.

 

HSC/Std. XII Index Score

The percentage of marks obtained in HSC/Class XII would be the aggregate marks of all subjects that appear in the marks sheet or grade sheet, irrespective of whether the Board considers them for calculation of percentage.

 

The following table will share with you the index score calculation for Graduation and Class XII marks. The maximum score is 7.5.

Diversity Index Score

According to IIM Kozhikode, to ensure diversity, marks will be awarded for diversity (gender (5%) or academic discipline (5%) related factors. A candidate is entitled to diversity score from only one factor.

After combining all the component scores, the Aggregate Index Score is calculated for shortlisting the candidates.

The short‐listed candidates will have to register at IIMK website and complete the personal profile form online. Only those candidates who complete online registration at relevant stages will only be considered for the subsequent process.

 

Final Selection Process

In the final stage, the shortlisted candidates have to appear for GD/PI and WAT rounds. Can i apply for MBA at JK Lakhmipat University if i have not given CAT?

Hello Abhishek !

Yes ,you can apply at JK Lakhmipat University if you have not given CAT , because as per their eligibility criteria for getting admission their the candidates must have appeared in CAT/MAT/ATMA/XAT/CMAT or any other national level entrance test.

In case the candidate has not appeared for any of the mentioned tests, they will have to appear in the JKLU Management Entrance Test (MET) to qualify for the programme.

So, you can apply there by appearing in their Entrance test.

yes NT category students have advantages in medical field.nt are icluded in gujrat in which st,scsebs community comes.for medical entrance examination neet their is advantage to nt category students.their cutoff is approx 300 out of 700.so you can clear the entrance examination easily and have a greater opportunity to get a better collge.

What is the CAT exam pattern ?

Hello aspirant, hope you are doing well!

CAT ( Common admission test) is a very reputed entrance exam conducted by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) for admissions into various colleges for MBA. The duration of the exam is 3 hours for all the categories and 4 hours for the PwD category. The sectional duration for each section is 60 minutes each whereas it is 80 minutes for the candidates of the PwD category.

The total number of questions asked in the entrance exam are 100. It is a computer based examination.

Candidates lose 1 mark for each incorrect answer and gain 3 marks for every correct answer. No marks are deducted for the questions which the candidate didn't attempt.

The examination consists of 3 sections namely - Quantitative ability , Data interpretation & logical reasoning and Verbal ability and reading comprehension. These sections consists of 34,32 and 34 questions each respectively.

The candidates are not allowed to switch between the sections. He/she can move to the next section only after attempting the previous section which he/she was completing. Though, the candidates are allowed to switch between questions within the same section.
