The eligibility criteria for the IIM Kozhikode Executive MBA is mentioned below.

  • A Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in any discipline with a minimum 50% (45% for reserved category candidates) aggregate mark or equivalent CGPA.

  • In case of an absence of a duly recognized bachelor's degree, the candidate with a the minimum aggregate percentage of 50 in CA/ICWA/CS can apply for the program.

  • The degree obtained from a foreign University subject to producing the equivalency certificate from AIU (Association of Indian Universities) or any Govt. of India approved assessment agency or an Indian University approved by UGC along with the proof of aggregate percentage of marks obtained in the program completed.

  • 3 Years of managerial/ entrepreneurial/ professional experience after successful completion of graduation as on the deadline of applying online.

IIM Kozhikode Executive MBA Admission Process

Candidates need to apply for the IIM Kozhikode Executive MBA through an online application form via the official IIM Kozhikode website. IIM Kozhikode adopts a three-stage selection process for its admissions to the Executive MBA program. The details of the three stages are given below:

Stage 1: Shortlisting of candidates based on eligibility criteria

The candidates are shortlisted for the selection process based on the information provided in the online application form and supporting documents uploaded. The candidates meeting the eligibility criteria will be called for stage 2.

Stage 2: EMAT and Personal interview

Stage 2 of selection comprised of an aptitude test EMAT, followed by a personal interview. Admission to the program is based on the score obtained in the EMAT & Interview. The test and interview will be conducted online and the details will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates after the registration closure date. The candidate will be interviewed by a panel of faculty from IIM Kozhikode. The scores of the interview process will be standardized to offset the panel differences. The minimum cut-off for the interview based on the standardized marks is given below.

Ideally you should have been eligible or atleast received a Call from 3 of the Top IIMs, BLACKI. Being from Non Engineering Background, and secondly after Securing 99.94 Percentile in CAT, its highly unusual. However, it does happen, and you may have lost points for your average Academic Record as well as Points due to No Work Experience.

However, Do keep hope, as All IIMs have yet not released their Call Lists. Secondly, their are many Excellent Management Institutes other than IIMs like Management Schools of Top IITs like VGSOM, SJSOM, DMS IIT Delhi as well as Top Management Institutes like FMS Delhi, MDI Gurgaon, IMT Ghaziabad, SPJIMR, NITIE and JBIMS Mumbai, and you must participate in the respective application processes.
