CMAT Selection Procedure 2024: The CMAT admission process includes GD & PI rounds conducted individually by the CMAT participating institutes. After the declaration of the CMAT result, the NTA will have no role in the selection process. Based on the CMAT scores, the participating institutes will shortlist candidates for GD and PI. CMAT score is accepted by more than 1000 MBA colleges in India. CMAT Selection Procedure 2024
CMAT counselling 2024 will be conducted by all the participating institutes such as IFMR, SIMSREE, BIMS, PUMBA, Welingkar, GIM, and others. As per the CMAT admission process 2024, candidates shall comply with the selection procedure of the particular CMAT score accepting institute, which may comprise of Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). The final selection of the candidate will be based on the candidate's performance in GD & PI rounds.

What to do After CMAT Result?
After the result declaration, candidates have to appear for the CMAT selection process. The CMAT admission process varies from college to college. Candidates can visit the official website of CMAT to learn about the admission process after the CMAT result. The selection/ admission process for CMAT will consist of PI, WAT, and GD rounds. CMAT 2024 Selection Criteria/ Phases
- CMAT 2024 Result: The CMAT results will be declared in the month of May and the mark cards will be published on the official website.
- CMAT Merit List 2024: The merit list is prepared based on the CMAT 2024 marks of students.
- Group Discussion: Eligible candidates should visit their respective institutes where they have applied for the CMAT exam procedure 2024. Multiple rounds of exams will be held on the premises of the concerned institution. Every college conducts a GD round during its examination process.
- PI & WAT: These rounds are conducted for candidates who clear the Group Discussion round.
- Final Admission Process: Based on a candidate's performance in various rounds of GD, PI and WAT, the final list of selected students will be prepared. Candidates have to confirm their admission by paying the entrance fee.

CMAT Admission Process 2024
AICTE-approved institutes will begin the CMAT admission process 2024 after the declaration of the CMAT result. Candidates will get admission to their desired MBA college after getting a good CMAT score and performance in the GD & PI rounds of the respective colleges. The different stages of the CMAT admission process 2024 will include the following:
- Appearing in the CMAT 2024 exam
- Checking and downloading the CMAT 2024 score/ CMAT merit list
- Applying to the targeted B-school with CMAT scorecard 2024
- Selection process of the particular CMAT score accepting college (GD & PI)
- Getting shortlisted in the final selection process and receiving the admission offer letter
CMAT Counselling 2024: Appearing in CMAT exam
The first stage of CMAT admission 2024 includes the successful appearance in the CMAT exam 2024. The CMAT 2024 will be conducted in two shifts and only candidates who going to appear in the exam will get the opportunity to apply for CMAT score accepting colleges.
CMAT Admission Process 2024: CMAT Score Card Submission
National Testing Agency will release the CMAT scorecard in the last week of May 2024. Having a CMAT scorecard is the second step toward the CMAT admission process 2024. Each participating institute will have its own CMAT cutoff for taking applications to MBA programmes.
CMAT Selection Procedure 2024: Applying preferred B-school
Candidates must meet the CMAT cut-off criteria of the respective MBA college to apply to their dream MBA college. In this next stage of CMAT admission 2024, candidates shall fill out the application form for the desired B-school. Candidates must also look into the CMAT selection process for the MBA course of the respective college in order to proceed with the further rounds.
CMAT Admission 2024: GD & PI Rounds
Now, the participating institute of CMAT 2024 will release its individual list of shortlisted candidates. Students who will be shortlisted will have to appear for the selection process on the prescribed date, time, and venue. The CMAT selection process for the MBA will include the rounds of GD & PI.
Group Discussion (GD)
This round of the CMAT admission process 2024 is supposed to be held in the following manner:
Firstly the shortlisted candidates will be given a topic for discussion which will be based on current affairs or business situations.
Then, the students will be grouped into 10 or more students and will be assigned an individual group topic.
As the group discussion will begin, students will be marked on the basis of the following parameters:
Negotiation skills
Encouragement skill
Creative and logical thinking
Real-life scenarios
Closure skills
Leadership qualities
Managerial skill
Initiation skill
Personal Interview (PI)/ Written Ability Test (WAT)
Students qualifying for the group discussion will be further called for either a personal interview or written ability test or both.
In the personal interview round, students will have to appear physically in front of the interviewee for face-to-face interaction.
During the interview process, students will be assessed based on the following parameters:
Ability to explain past academic records
Personality
Prior work experience(s)
Confidence
Creativity and innovation
Candidates appearing for a personal interview must surely prepare themselves with questions like “What are your strengths and weaknesses” and “Self-introduction”.
The interviewee may assess a student's capability to take in pressure and managerial skills by asking interlinked questions. The candidate must justify his statements and answer smartly.
In addition to a personal interview, some institutes might conduct a written ability test (WAT). In this round, students will be given a topic to present their opinion on. Through this round, the authorities will analyze the candidate’s writing skills. To sail through these rounds, students are advised to read the newspaper on a daily basis.
CMAT Selection Process 2024: Final Selection List
On the basis of the candidate’s cumulative performance, the final merit list will be prepared by the participating institutes of CMAT 2024. The final list will include the names of the candidates who will have cleared all the criteria of selection rounds. Some institutes will notify the student’s status through email or call letters. The candidates will get the admission offer letter which will point out the fees to be submitted by the stipulated time to secure a seat in the MBA program of the college.

Documents Required for CMAT Admission 2024
CMAT scores are accepted by more than 1000 B-schools. Students are advised to keep themselves updated with the admission dates by visiting the official website of the institute they desire to take admission in. On the day of admission based on CMAT score 2024, students must carry the following documents:

The participating institutes may or may not release the sectional cutoff of CMAT 2024 as per their admission criteria for MBA programs. The CMAT 2024 scorecard will be valid for one academic year.
2. What is the passing marks of CMAT? Where can once check the CMAT colleges cut off?
Candidates who score around 345 and 360 marks get 100 percentile in the CMAT exam allows them to opt for the best CMAT score accepting colleges across the nation. There are also other MBA Colleges that accept the CMAT percentile of 50-70.
