SDMIMD, Mysore was established in the year 1993. Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development offers courses in the field of management. SDMIMD courses include PGDM (Postgraduate Diploma in Management) and PhD. Students must appear in CAT/ XAT/ GMAT/ CMAT/ MAT entrance exams and obtain valid marks to be eligible for SDMIMD PGDM admission.

Careers360: Tell us something about yourself such as from which place you are from?

Sarvesh: I’m Sarvesh from Tamil Nadu. I am a B.COM. Graduated from The American College Madurai,TamilNadu specialized in Finance and Operations. I am National level athlete in Long Jump and Triple Jump.

Careers360: Presently which course are you pursuing and in which year are you?

Sarvesh: Now, I am pursuing PGDM at SDMIMD, Mysore. I am currently in 1st Year.

Careers360: Did you face any difficulty in the initial months when you joined the institute?

Sarvesh: In the initial months at the institute, it was challenging to adjust to the new environment Adapting take time for me.

Careers360: Describe a typical day at your institute – what do you do from the time you wake up till you go to sleep?

Sarvesh: I'll wake up at 7 and do meditation around 8 I'll take bath and get ready for class. At 9 I have breakfast and go to class. After 5.30 I go to have coffee with my friends and at 7 I study what they teach in today class. At 10 I go to sleep

Careers360: Tell us about the faculty-student ratio here and about the teacher-student relationship in your understanding.

Sarvesh: The faculty-student ratio in our institute is 1:20. With 1 faculty member for every 20 students

Careers360: What all facilities do you have in the campus? What do you like here the most which you feel is unique and differentiating?

Sarvesh: Academic AI recorder even if we miss the class we can collect notes

Careers360: How comfortable are your hostels and how about the cleanliness factor over there?

Sarvesh: In our college we have single occupancy rooms which are very comfortable, and the washrooms are taken care of by helpers every day.

Careers360: What about the medical facilities? Can you avail requisite medical attention if needed in an emergency?

Sarvesh: We have free doctor consultation every Wednesday in our college.

Careers360: How do you balance your studies, projects, exams and other activities?

Sarvesh: So Im good at multi tasking..I didn’t feel its harder to balance all

Careers360: Tell us about the clubs and societies at the campus and how significant are they from your point of view or students point of view?

Sarvesh: There are many Clubs and Committees available in the college. I didn’t selected for any committee.

Careers360: Is there any in-house magazine or journal for the latest events or happenings at the institute?

Sarvesh: No

Careers360: What are the popular hangouts at the institute? What, according to you, are the most-visited places nearby?

Sarvesh: The popular hangouts at the institute is near mess.The most visited places nearby are Mysore Palace, Chamundeswari temple

Careers360: How do you spend your leisure time at the campus?

Sarvesh: At the ground I spend time by playing football.

Careers360: Do you have any Facebook page of your campus where the students express their views, jokes or ideas, or maybe even a blog where they write about their experience of life at campus?

Sarvesh: NO

Careers360: What type of companies come for campus recruitment and what percentage of students get placed every year? How is the recruitment process here?

Sarvesh: Top companies like Infosys, Wipro, Deloitte, Federal Bank, HDFC Bank, and ICICI Bank have recruited from our campus. All the eligible students who sit for placements got placed.

Both IFMR GSB and SDMIMD are excellent and respectable choices for an MBA, however IFMR GSB is thought to have marginally better placement records.

Both the college SIES College of Arts Science and Commerce, Mumbai and Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development, Mysore are good.

You can choose any college on the basis on infrastructure, facility, teaching and placement. SDMIMD offer PGDM, PGPGCM Courses on MAT Score. Fees of PGDM is approximately 11 Lakhs and for SIES, it is approx 3 Lakhs for B. Com. You acn view the review of colleges through your portal.

As you have not mentioned your category for which you have applied in this examination. If we consider the previous year cutoff it was around 77 percentile for general so it is difficult for you to get in in general category. Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development, commonly called SDMIMD is in Mysore since 1993. It offers various courses under Management stream that features PGDM, PGCM, and PGPSM for those with Bachelor’s degrees.

Yes. The MAT 2020 and 2021 cutoff for SDMIMD is 75 percentile. So you have a very good chance of getting selected for further rounds. You may apply .Apply online through their official website ,if you have not given this college among your choices during MAT exam application. The application fee is Rs.1250.

Once you get shortlisted you will be called for the final stage of the selection process in March 2021. The PI process will consist of WAT, Extempore and Personal Interview.The final selection round for admission to SDMIMD will be held at several centres in India.

The eligibility criteria to get admission in Shri Dharamsthala Manjunatheshwar Institute of Management and Development in PGDM is that a candidate must have passed full-time bachelor's degree in any discipline from an institute recognized by UGC/AIU. The admission is based on CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT/ATMA/MAT scores. Candidates with valid score in any one of the exams mentioned conducted from June 2020 up to March 2021 will be considered for admission for PGDM 2021-23. So if you are appearing for MAT 2021 May session then this score cannot be considered for admission. Yon need to have a valid score in any of the mentioned exams conducted from June 2020 to March 2021.
