Panjab University MBA Admission Eligibility Criteria 2025

Candidates aspiring to take MBA admission to UBS Panjab University must fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria. The candidature of students failing to meet the below-mentioned eligibility for MBA at Panjab University will be cancelled. The eligibility criteria are as follows:

• Aspirants must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized institute/ university with a minimum of 50% in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/BC/PwD).

• In case candidates have a bachelor’s degree in Modern Indian Languages (Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi [Gurmukhi Script]) and/or in a Classical Language (Persian/ Sanskrit/ Arabic) must have a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in all the papers of language excluding the optional paper, English and any other elective subject.

A candidate must pass the final examination conducted by the (a) Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England, or (b) Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England, or (c) Institute of Company Secretaries of India

Or

AMIE Examination with 50% marks or more after having passed the diploma examination with 60% marks or above and having at least 5 years of research/teaching or professional experience.

What are the steps to fill the application form of Panjab University MBA 2025 admission?

• Admission will be made on the basis of merit determined by scores of the candidates in the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 conducted by IIMs, followed by Group discussion and personal interview (GD & PI). All candidates aspiring to apply for MBA programmes at UBS must take the CAT 2024 conducted by the IIMs.

• The candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview based on their score in the CAT 2024 subject to the condition that they secure a minimum 10% score (5% in case of SC/ST/BC/PwD) candidates) in each component of CAT 2024 viz., quantitative logic & data interpretation, and verbal

• The number of candidates to be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview will be equal to eight times the total number of seats of all these courses in each category or the total number of eligible candidates, whichever is lower.

• The Group Discussion and Personal Interview of the short-listed candidates will be held at University Business School, Panjab University, Chandigarh. The invitation for attend GD/PI & schedule of GD/PI would be put on UBS admission website only (http://ubsadmissions.puchd.ac.in).

• The final merit list of all the candidates who called and appeared for GD & PI will be prepared category-wise based on their combined aggregate score in the Panjab University MBA CAT cut off, Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Panjab University MBA Fee Structure 2025

Candidates desirous of seeking admission to MBA programmes shall pay Rs. 2520 (Rs. 1260 for SC / ST / PwD candidates) as Panjab University MBA admission fee (non-refundable) for participation in the admission process for the session 2025-2027. The fee is being finalized by PU authorities. The fee is to be paid by demand draft in favour of Registrar, Panjab University Chandigarh, payable at Chandigarh towards part payment of the tuition fee and other university charges etc. Further, the candidates will have to deposit Rs. 19,000 by Demand Draft in favour of the Chairman, University Business School, Panjab University, Chandigarh, payable at Chandigarh, towards Summer Placement, Teaching Materials, Business Club and Computer Charges, etc.

Also, the Panjab University MBA admission fee payable for MBA/MBA (IB)/ MBA (HR) for the academic session is Rs. 23,945 per annum and that for MBA (Entrepreneurship) is Rs. 1,20,135 per annum.
