About: Rungta Educational Foundation was established in 1999 with its first college, RCET located in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, India. Rungta Educational Foundation has colleges and institutes offering courses in several fields such as engineering, sciences, management and business administration, computer application and IT and arts, humanities and social sciences. Q. Tell us something about yourself such as from which place are you from?
A: My name is Stanley Kashoti and I am from South Sudan.
Q. Presently which course are you pursuing and in which year are you?
A: I am pursuing MBA (Semester II) from the Rungta Educational Foundation.
Q. Did you face any difficulty in the initial months when you joined the Rungta Educational Foundation?
A: I found myself moving from South Sudan to this place in search of knowledge. I was naturally apprehensive, but to my surprise, the support staff and my fellow students turned out to be welcoming. Within a few weeks, we became familiar with the area and all the nearby hangout spots. Now, we've become the go-to experts for anyone new around here.

Q. What activities are offered in the Rungta Educational Foundation? Are there any clubs etc for the various extracurricular activities? Which ones have you taken up and are a part of?
A: At Rungta R1 there is a wide range of sports and cultural activities. With top-notch facilities for various sports, it includes a fully equipped gymnasium and 16 vibrant cultural clubs. Owing to my interests I am a part of R1 Infinty Coders (Programming RSDC), Radiction (Language RSDC) and RAISE (International Students RSDC).
Q. Describe a typical day at Rungta Educational Foundation - what do you do from the time you wake up till you go to sleep?
A: On my days in the college, I'm constantly immersed in stimulating lectures and hands-on sessions from dawn till dusk. After an energising dose of morning caffeine, my friends and I gear up for the day ahead. We satisfy our hunger with delectable treats at the cafeteria, catch up with friends, and recharge for the afternoon. Post-classes, we engage in exhilarating activities like sports, entertainment, and exploring the bustling market. Evenings are dedicated to reviewing lectures, preparing assignments, and relishing dinner with friends. It's an incredible and gratifying routine that I wouldn't trade for anything else.

Q. Tell us about the faculty-student ratio here and about the teacher-student relationship in your understanding.
A: At the Rungta R1 campus, a steady balance is maintained between the faculty and students to provide personalised attention and unwavering support. The professors act as dedicated mentors, fostering strong bonds and a vibrant teacher-student relationship through open communication. Our supportive environment provides students with individualized mentoring, career and academic guidance, and stimulating research opportunities. Q. How comfortable are your hostels and how about the cleanliness factor over there?
A: The hostels at R1 can easily be qualified as one of the best. R1 campus hostel facilities include well-furnished rooms, excellent study areas, and inviting common spaces for relaxation. When it comes to cleanliness at hostels, they were well-maintained, with regular cleaning schedules and diligent maintenance efforts. A: At Rungta R1, health comes before everything else. Utilising Resources: Utilising academic support programs, libraries, and study areas on campus can help with academics.
Maintaining Balance: Allocating time for extracurricular activities, hobbies, and relaxation is essential for a balanced lifestyle.
Adaptability: Being flexible to adjust schedules as per academic demands, unexpected events, or personal needs.
Q. Tell us about the clubs and societies at the campus and how significant are they from your point of view or students' point of view.
A: Students can pursue their interests and hobbies and connect with others through RSDC. Members of clubs get access to additional skills and can learn more about themselves, their interests, and their goals.

Q. Is there any in-house magazine or journal for the latest events or happenings at the Rungta Educational Foundation?
A: Yes, Rungta R1 has an internal magazine that covers current affairs and activities on campus. Furthermore, a number of academic publications feature the research projects of both faculty and students. These publications are essential for informing the entire campus community about extracurricular and academic activities and successes.
Campus Vaani: Published thrice in a year, the magazine of Rungta R1, reports all kinds of events that take place on the campus.

Q. What are the popular hangouts at the Rungta Educational Foundation? What according to you, are the most-visited places nearby?
A: The popular hangout places at RCET are the cafeteria, library, student lounges, sports facilities and common areas. The places near RCET to visit are Shiv Mandir Deobalod, Tandula Dam, Hajra Falls, Civic Centre and Bamleshwari Mandir, Dongargarh.
Q. How do you spend your leisure time at the Rungta Educational Foundation campus?
A: Depending on my interests and mood, I like to engage in a range of activities during my free time on campus:
Socialising: I like to hang out with friends in the cafeteria or common areas, catching up and discussing various topics.
Sports and Fitness: Engaging in sports activities at the campus gym or outdoor fields is a great way to stay active and unwind.
Exploring Clubs: Participating in club activities related to my interests, whether it's academic, cultural, or hobby-based.
In general, campus life provides a wide array of leisure activities, which facilitates the balancing of academic objectives with interests and relaxation.
Q. Do you have any Facebook page of your campus where the students express their views jokes or ideas, or maybe even a blog where they write about their experience of life at campus?
A: It is important to note that there isn't an official FB page or blog for Rungta R1 students to share their perspectives, or campus experiences. The management is highly responsive to student feedback and takes appropriate action. Different dedicated individuals lead various cells to ensure that every student's voice is not only heard but also acknowledged.
Q. What type of companies come for campus recruitment and what percentage of students get placed every year? How is the recruitment process here?
A: R1 serves as a central hub for campus recruitment in Central India, attracting a wide range of companies from diverse industries looking to hire for various roles. Some typical categories include:
IT and Software Companies: Including multinational corporations and startups focusing on software development, IT services, and related technologies.
Core Engineering Companies: Firms in electrical, mechanical, civil engineering, and related fields.
