Established in 1980, T A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) is a constituent unit of Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal. TAPMI is accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB) and Association of MBAs (AMBA). It is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The courses at TAPMI are offered at UG, PG and doctoral levels.
With an academic curriculum that emphasizes experiential learning, TAPMI offers a plethora of opportunities for growth and involvement outside the classroom through student-led committees, clubs & forums. TAPMI houses a total of 24 student committees across various domains, that add to enriching student life on campus and create lots of opportunities for fun and celebrations along with showcasing talent and life-skills.
TAPMI Campuses
Some of the major clubs and committees include:
Cultural Committee that organizes cultural events and activities on campus.
Quizzing Committee that conducts TAPMI’s marquee event – Quiz on the Beach at Malpe Beach.
Sports Committee that offers the much-required respite from the academic rigour by cultivating a sports platform for students to showcase their athletic abilities through tournaments. Their flagship event SPEED, conducted every year, is the longest-running event at TAPMI.
Bikers, Runners & Trekkers committee otherwise known as BRATS which increases awareness of physical well-being through various events including the one conducted on International Yoga Day. They also periodically plan excursions such as Treks & Biking.
Literary & Media Committee, otherwise known as LiMe, is the Branding face of TAPMI whose functions include Content Writing, Video Editing, Photography, and designing while organizing creative events such as Open Mics along with a photography event called Moment in Time.
Toastmasters committee chartered under Toastmasters International where weekly meetings are organized for the members to deliver extempore speeches for students to refine their communication skills.
Sustainability Committee of TAPMI promotes sustainability and oversees practices of Environmental protection, social welfare, and integration of sustainability in student activities. The
Welfare Committee on campus ensures an idyllic environment for the students on campus through various administrative roles while planning and organizing over 12 major festivals including Ganesh Chaturthi, Onam, Durga Puja & Sankranti.
Alumni Relations Committee where the student members work towards fostering good alumni connections and engagement through various events & initiatives.
Social Endevour Group works on various social causes around Manipal relating to hunger, good health, quality education, and responsible consumption.

There are also domain-specific committees for students to gain additional insight into business practices. They include TAPMI Finance Forum, The Marketing Forum, Operations Forum, HR Forum, TAPMI Analytics Forum, MATRIX – IT Forum of TAPMI, and OMEGA – the consulting wing of TAPMI.
One of the most important student-led events at TAPMI is its self-sponsored Annual Flagship B-school Festival, namely Atharva which organizes events to provide a competitive platform across all major business domains.

The various events conducted by the different committees are overseen by the Student Executive Council, which is the apex student body in TAPMI.
