Rev Dr Manoj D'Souza, SJ: The JOSEPHITE tradition started in Bangalore with the opening of the St. Joseph’s European High School by the Paris Foreign Mission Fathers in 1858. Thereafter, St. Joseph’s College was established in 1884.
St. Joseph’s Institute of Management (SJIM) was established in 1968. The Institute currently offers a two-year PGDM course approved by the AICTE. SJIM operates out of a new-state-of-the art campus in the heart of the city, just off M G Road, Bengaluru.
SJIM has fifty years of legacy in Management Education and it is the only Jesuit Business School in Bengaluru. It is managed by the International Jesuit Organization, which also runs XLRI, XIMB and LIBA.

Rev Dr Manoj D'Souza, SJ : SJIM courses include PGDM – Two Year Full Time Course offering dual specialization in Finance, Human Resources, Marketing and Operations. For SJIM admissions:
Candidates seeking admissions at SJIM should meet and fulfil all the eligibility criteria the institute has defined.
A candidate applying for the PGDM programme must
Be a Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university
Have a consistent academic record of not less than 60% aggregate from 10th std onwards in each year of study.
Candidates who have appeared for a final graduate level examination and are awaiting results may also apply. Offers of admission to such candidates, if made, will be provisional and will be automatically cancelled in the event of failure in the examination or failing to obtain 60% of marks in the aggregate.
Admissions to the course will be based on any of the Entrance Exam scores like CAT, CMAT, XAT, MAT or GMAT
The selection process involves Essay Writing Assessment and a Personal Interview.
The applicants will be shortlisted based on the consistent academic performance , aptitude test and work experience.
Only the shortlisted applicants will be called for the Essay Writing and Personal Interview.

Rev Dr Manoj D'Souza, SJ : SJIM has full-fledged campus facilities for students. The SJIM campus has state-of-the-art facilities centrally located on M G Road, Bengaluru. The St. Joseph’s Institute of Management facilities are:
Adequate well-equipped classrooms with WIFI, Projectors and Sound Systems.
A well-stocked Library consisting of more than 18,300 volumes, journals and periodicals both national and international. The digital collections are also available to the students.
An air conditioned Computer Lab with the latest software, High Speed Internet Bandwidth available round the clock. In addition, College provides WIFI connectivity and the students can access the College servers from anywhere on campus.

Rev Dr Manoj D'Souza, SJ : The following steps are being taken by the SJIM Banglore to justify the above question.
* Introducing more Industry based subjects in the curriculum.
* Our curriculum is periodically being revised and subjects like BME (Business Management Environment) have been introduced.
* Industry Experts / Professionals are a part of the Academic and Governing Council Bodies. They share their inputs for the area of improvement in the meetings held annually.
* We have a lot of CSR activities initiated by the student’s fraternity.
* Organizing Seminars and Workshops
* There is an Alumni Committee and most of the Alumni volunteer to help the institute in getting companies for placements.
Careers360: Internships are now mandatory as per AICTE guidelines. Does the institute help students with this? If so, how?
Rev Dr Manoj D'Souza, SJ : Yes, the Institute helps students in getting Internship opportunities at reputed companies and a few start-ups. Following are the outcomes of the Industry Internship Program.
The summer internship program encourages students to undertake research based / On the Job projects in order to gain practical experience.
Most of the internships culminate with full time job offers.
The IIP has enabled seamless transition of students to be industry ready productive employees.
Students have given positive feedback on the benefits of IIP and their learning experience.
Contribution of the students has been acknowledged by the companies.

Careers360: Please share placement statistics with information on the average package, highest and lowest package, number of students placed and details of companies that have recruited.
Rev Dr Manoj D'Souza, SJ: Some of our major Recruiters are Accenture, Bosch, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, Swiss Re, Ernst & Young, Fidelity, TCS, Mind Tree, PWC, Subex, Sonata Software, ITC Ltd, Oracle, IBM, Federal Bank, Godrej & Boyce , Schneider Electric, Xiaomi, and a few others.
The SJIM placement statistics for the 2022 graduates is as follows and the placements are on-going.
The highest package is 22 LPA and the average package is 8 LPA and for the 2021 pass out batch, the highest package is 12 LPA and the average package is 7 LPA. The lowest package that the institute looks for is 6.0 LPA.

As a basic selection procedure first of all you will have to submit your marks , if you meet the cut off, then all the shortlisted candidates are invited for MBA selection round, these selection round includes written ability test, group discussion and personal interview. Thus you will have to submit marksheet after which the interview process will be taking place.
