MAT 2024 entrance exam is being held in multiple sessions and in multiple exam modes. In every phase of MAT 2024 there are multiple sessions such as MAT CBT, PBT, and IBT. AIMA has started the MAT 2024 August session registration on June 25 at mat.aima.in. The MAT 2024 registration window will close by August 11 and August 18 for CBT and PBT modes respectively. MAT 2024 - Exam Overview
The Management Aptitude Test is a national-level MBA entrance exam that is conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA). MAT is the only MBA exam in India in which candidates can choose from Computer Based Test (CBT), Internet Based Test (IBT), and Paper Based Test (PBT) modes.

MAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the MAT 2024 exam, candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- Candidates should have completed a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised institute or university with 50% marks (45% for SC/ ST/ PwD).
- Candidates who are in their final year or waiting for their undergraduate results are also eligible to appear for the MAT 2024.
- Age Limit: There is no age limit to apply for the MAT 2024 entrance exam.

MAT 2024 Syllabus
AIMA will specify the MAT 2024 exam syllabus in the official brochure. Each section of the MAT exam 2024 subjects has an equal number of questions in MCQ format.
Intelligence & Critical Reasoning: Topics included in this section include Arrangement, Pie Chart, Course of Action, Puzzles, Calendars, Strong Arguments and Weak Arguments, Series, Statement Conclusions, Blood Relations, Family Tree, Coding & Decoding, Visual Reasoning, Syllogisms and Graphs.
Data Analysis & Data Sufficiency: This section include Bar Graph, Line Graph, Caselet, Data Comparison, Pie Chart, Quantitative Comparison and Data Sufficiency.
Language Comprehension: This section of the MAT 2024 syllabus includes Noun, Pronoun, Adjective, Verb, Adverb, Antonyms & Synonyms, Idioms/Phrases, Sentence Correction, Vocabulary, One Word Substitution, Fill in the blanks, Para Jumble and Reading Comprehension.
Indian & Global Environment: The Indian & Global Environment or GK section of the MAT exam 2024 has 40 questions from static GK and Current Affairs.
Mathematical Skills: In this section, candidates have to study Geometry, Trigonometry, Mensuration, Algebra, and Modern Maths.
Question- Is MAT harder than CMAT?
Answer- The CMAT exam is held in computer-based test (CBT) mode, while MAT offers three testing options: CBT, PBT, and IBT mode. Moreover, CMAT exam is quite difficult as compared to MAT 2024.

MAT 2024 Counselling Process
AIMA the conducting body of MAT does not conduct any counselling process. MAT 2024 counseling process will be conducted by MAT 2024 participating institutes. MAT counselling process will take place after the declaration of MAT result. MAT selection process will include Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Post declaration of MAT result, participating institutes will release MAT counselling dates on their respective websites.

The MAT's GK Section is not taken into account while determining the composite score or final percentile. However, if you score well in the MAT GK Section, you will have an advantage during the GD/PI procedure. So General Knowledge is also important for the interview perspective.

MAT and NMAT are both entrance exams conducted for admission into management program in India. While there maybe some overlap in terms of the general aptitude & reasoning sections, it's important to note that they are conducted by different bodies and have different focuses.
MAT covers sections like language comprehension, Mathematical skills, data analysis and sufficiency, intelligence and critical reasoning, and India and Global environment.
NMAT on the other hand, focuses on language skills, Quantitative analysis and logical reasoning.
MAT is conducted in either paper based or computer based but, NMAT is only computer based.
MAT scores are accepted by wide range of management schools across India. While NMAT score are primarily used for admission into NMIMS, and some other institutions.
Given these differences, it's advisable to study separately for each exam.
