The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Kashipur will release the selection criteria for MBA admission 2025-27 on its official website. According to the last year's IIM Kashipur selection criteria, the selection process has two-stage process, i.e., shortlisting candidates for personal interview (PI) based on CAT 2024 and final selection. IIM Kashipur belongs to the Baby IIMs category and hence is currently offering admissions to three postgraduate programmes, which are given below. The IIM Kashipur 2025 admission criteria given below is divided into three stages after the CAT exam is over and the result is declared. The IIM Kashipur selection criteria involves three stages:

As per the last year's admission criteria of IIM Kashipur, below are expected details of the different stages of the IIM Kashipur admission process 2025.
On the basis of the IIM Kashipur CAT cut off candidates will be shortlisted for further rounds of the admission process. Candidates whose names appear in the list of shortlisted candidates will be called for the WAT and PI processes for admission to the MBA batch of 2025–27 as per the IIM Kashipur admission criteria 2025.

(C) = PI Total (2a) + Shortlist Total (2b). The Grand Total (C) will be used to rank students according to their merit.
Women managers who receive an offer letter from IIM Kashipur will be provided special facilities to visit the campus before taking admission. The institute will reimburse the AC-3 fare and provide a one-night stay on campus.
IIM Kashipur will follow the Government of India norms on reservations for Schedule Caste (SC), Schedule Tribes (ST), Non-Creamy Other Backward Class (NC-OBC), DAP (Differently- abled Person), and EWS (Economically Weaker Section).
A refund will be processed after one month of withdrawal.

Yes, final year candidates’ can also apply. However, they have to fulfil the admission requirements by the time of joining.
IIM Calcutta will conduct the CAT 2024 in Computer Based Test mode in three shifts on November 24, 2024.
No, candidates will have to apply for both programs separately due to differences in admission criteria of both programs.

To answer your question, NO, work experience in not compulsory for MBA in Business Analytics from IIM Kashipur.
Though, having work experience would definitely help in your interview, and further ahead in your career, but it is definitely not compulsory.

I would suggest your brother to go for IIM( Indian Institute of Management ) Trichy(Tiruchirappalli ) as it is definitely a better IIM than IIM Kashipur as according to NIRF rankings IIM Trichy is at 17 where as IIM Kashipur is at 33 so you can see the huge difference , also IIM Kashipur is a very new IIM in comparison to Trichy .
Your brother should choose a better college than the one which is closer to home .The placement scenario of Trichy is much better than Kashipur .
