IIM Amritsar Cutoff - Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Amritsar will specify the CAT cutoff for admission into the MBA program for the academic batch of 2025-27. Going by past year trends, IIM Amritsar cutoff for general & EWS category candidates will be around 85 percentile. IIM Amritsar will release admission criteria which will consist of the exact required CAT cutoff along with the entire selection criteria. IIM Amritsar selection process consists of two stages. Stage 1: Candidates will be shortlisted for the Personal Interview (PI) based on pre-PI score. Stage 2: The Personal Interview (PI) will be conducted and later on the final list will be prepared and released by IIM Amritsar.
For admission into IIM Amritsar, authorities will consider both sectional and overall CAT cutoff scores. It is expected that the IIM Amritsar CAT cutoff will be around 85 to 87 percentile for candidates belonging to the general category.
In order to take admission into IIM Amritsar, candidates should have a valid scorecard of CAT/ GRE/ GMAT/ GATE score to apply for program.
The PGP batch size of IIM Amritsar is 60.

The CAT exam requires a significant amount of time for preparation, including brushing up on basic concepts and practicing advanced problem-solving. Starting too early can feel overwhelming and may not be sustainable with other academic commitments.
The CAT exam requires a level of focus and maturity that is not always present in class 9. Starting preparation at this stage can be challenging to maintain. So you just need to boost your fundamentals by practicing more and more at class 9 because the Quantitative Aptitude section of CAT syllabus includes all the topics of Mathematics from Class 9 to 10 such as Arithmetic, Geometry, Algebra, Trigonometry and Mensuration.
