IPU CET MBA Admission Counselling 2026

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IPU) is conducting the centralised online counselling for MBA (through CAT/CMAT/CET). IPU MBA admission 2026 is being done on the basis of merit/rank received by the candidate/s. If seats get filled through CAT 2025, then the IPU MBA 2026 admission will probably stop. If the seats remain vacant, then CMAT 2026 and IPU CET MBA 2026 scores will be considered for admissions, respectively. Notice regarding the closure of counselling will be provided on the official website at ipu.ac.in. All selected candidates will have to deposit a one-time (non-refundable) counselling participation fee of Rs 1000, inclusive of applicable charges.

Registration Process for IPU CET MBA 2026 Counselling

Spot Counselling for IPU CET MBA 2026

Any vacant seats which are left after the admission of candidates to institutions only will be considered for filling in the spot counselling. All eligible candidates who are desirous of taking admission through spot counselling will have to pay separate counselling fees. All candidates who have not taken admission will be eligible to participate in the spot counselling.

IPU MBA Shortlist 2026 and Final Admission Process

IPU MBA Admission 2026: Seat Allotment

After IPU MBA counselling, seat allocation will be based on merit and choices filled. Successful candidates will receive further instructions for document verification and fee payment.

The seat will be allotted to the candidates in the order of the rank list and the choices filled.

The seat allotment will be done in each round. In the first round, seats will be allotted, and in the following round, seats will be allotted against the available vacancies.

Round 1 of seat allotment: Seats will be allotted in the process of the rank list and preferences set by the candidate.

Round 2 of seat allotment: Only for eligible candidates and subsequent rounds of seat allotment. There are three groups of eligible candidates:

• Group 1 - Freeze candidates

These candidates will not be allowed to submit fresh choices or modify choices. The seat allotted in round 1 will be retained, and their allotted category may be upgraded

• Group 2 - Float candidates

These candidates will be allowed to modify/add new choices. They can upgrade their choices, but the previously allotted seat will remain a valid choice in this round. Candidates will not be allowed to delete the choice, but will be able to rearrange the choices in the order of their preference.

• Group 3 - No seat allotted candidates

Candidates who didn't get any seats in the previous round will be able to modify their choices, or their existing choices will be considered.

Withdrawal from IPU MBA 2026 Counselling

Candidates who have paid the academic fee of Rs. 40,000 can opt to withdraw from the counselling schedule at a specified time and date. Such candidates will be required to enter the password to confirm the withdrawal. Once the withdrawal is done, the seat allotted to the candidate will be cancelled, and the candidate will not be able to participate in the subsequent rounds.

IPU CET MBA Result 2026

The IPU CET MBA 2026 result is released in the form of a PDF as a merit list. The university declared and displayed the ranks of only those candidates who are declared as qualified in the CET 2026 conducted by the university, and for the National Level Test (CAT/CMAT). The candidates will be called for counselling for admission, depending upon the number of seats available in each programme. • Bachelor's Degree of three years or more in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from any recognised University.

• Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Engineering or any other subject with a minimum of 50% marks aggregate or any equivalent qualification recognised with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Or

• Candidates must have passed the final examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England, the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England or the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

IPU CET MBA Admission Criteria 2026

The IPU MBA admission 2026 for courses like MBA, MBA (International Business), MBA (Financial Management), MBA (Analytics) and MBA (Financial Analysis) will be based on the following criteria given below:

• All admissions shall be made based on the overall percentile of the CAT 2025 conducted by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM).
• If the seats are still vacant after counselling based on CAT 2025, then the counselling is conducted based on CMAT 2026 scores.
• The university will also conduct its own CET for admissions, but shall be utilising the merit of CET only if the seats are left vacant after finishing the CAT 2025, followed by the CMAT 2026 merit list.

IPU CET MBA Admit Card 2026

Candidates will be able to download the admit card of IPU CET MBA 2026 online by entering their IPU candidate login ID and password generated at the time of filling out the application form. The IPU CET MBA e-admit card 2026 will be sent by the university to the registered email ID of IP University applicants. Candidates can find details such as name, roll number, photograph, signature, exam date, and timings, exam centre on their IP University admit card. Candidates must carry their admit card to the examination hall, without which entry will not be allowed.
