TISSNET Eligibility Criteria 2019 – The exam conducting authority of Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, prescribes the TISSNET 2019 eligibility criteria for the exam pertaining to Master of Arts (Human Resource Management & Labour Relations). According to the TISSNET eligibility criteria 2019, aspirants with a Bachelor’s degree across disciplines from a recognised university will be eligible to apply and appear for TISSNET MBA. All prospective test takers should check the eligibility criteria of TISSNET MBA 2019. The application process will commence from October 22 and will continue until December 10, 2018. Candidates would be given the option to either fill the application form online or send it to TISS, Mumbai via post. The offline application should reach office by December 12, 2018. The entrance exam will be conducted at more than 100 different centres spreading across 39 cities pan-India. TISSNET Eligibility Criteria 2019: What are the determining factors to become eligible for TISSNET 2019?
All aspirants are required to check the TISSNET MBA 2019 eligibility criteria before filling the application form. The ineligible candidates can be rejected at any stage in the admission process and no grievances will be entertained by the officials in this regard.
Candidates must obtain a ‘Pass Class’ in the Bachelor's Degree in any discipline to become eligible to fill the TISSNET MBA application form 2019.
Final year Bachelor's Degree candidates will be considered eligible only if they qualify in all the previous undergraduate courses (main/major/subsidiary, etc.) of the first and second years ( provided the degree is of three years) and first, second and third years (if the degree is of four years) as on the day of applying for the programme. Else, they would not be eligible to apply for any of the Post-Graduate or Master's Degree programmes offered by the Institute.
Candidates who will fail in their final year examination will not be able to apply for TISSNET 2019 unless they pass their Bachelor's degree exam on the day of applying for any of the programmes.
Providing misleading or incorrect information in the application form will lead to the cancellation of admission if detected at any stage of the application or selection procedure that includes the test, interview, selection, and final admission.
The provisional admission will stand automatically cancelled for a candidate if he/she, who is awarded provisional admission, fails to qualify in the final year examination of the Bachelor's degree programme. Even if the papers are sent for re-evaluation at the respective colleges or universities, candidates will not be allowed to continue the programme at Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
General TISSNET MBA Eligibility Criteria 2019
TISS, Mumbai formulates the general eligibility criteria for TISSNET MBA 2019. Following are the basic TISSNET MBA 2019 eligibility criteria to be fulfilled by all applicants-
Candidates should obtain a three year’s Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 year bridge course pattern or any other study-pattern fulfilling the requirements of 15 years of formal education) across disciplines from any recognised college/university.
All aspirants studying in three and four-year degree programmes should have qualified in all the subjects of semester 1 to semester 4 and semester 1 to semester 6 respectively at the time of filling the TISSNET MBA 2019 application form.
Candidates pursuing their final year Bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply to all the offered programmes at TISS. However, the result of the final examination needs to be submitted before the stipulated time to avail the final admission. The provisional admission will stand cancelled if the required proof of result is not submitted.
What is meant by Programme Specific Eligibility of TISSNET MBA?
Apart from the general TISSNET MBA eligibility criteria 2019, there are certain specific eligibility parameters fixed for particular subjects/programmes. For the Postgraduate degree (M.A.) in Human Resources Management and Labour Relations (HRM) requires candidates to satisfy both General eligibility and a Graduation degree in any discipline.
TISSNET MBA 2019 Eligibility Criteria for International Students
Candidates who are not an Indian Citizen or Permanent Resident of India are known as International students. Foreign Nationals, Person of Indian Origin (PIO) card holders, Overseas Citizen of India (OCI-Dual citizens), and Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) are also considered as international candidates.
Aspirants under this category can apply for a maximum of two programmes across Schools/Campuses. However, they should fulfil the general eligibility requirements for the programme/s.
International aspirants who are interested in applying for M.A. in Human Resource Management and Labour Studies Programme (HRM) will require a GMAT score of 610 and above as well. The GMAT score has to be provided within the fixed time during admission procedure.
Only candidates who have qualified from Foreign Universities or Boards of Higher Education recognised as equivalent by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), will be eligible for admission.
Also, international candidates who have pursued their Bachelor’s Degree Programme from a University which is located in a non-English speaking country or where the mode of instruction was not English, would require to provide a proof of English language proficiency. The scores of any one of the two accepted English proficiency tests will be accepted.

Candidates can apply for TISSNET MBA 2019 either by submitting the online application form along with required documents or they can send the printed copy of the application form to TISS Mumbai via post. Post application, candidates will be able to collect their TISSNET MBA admit card 2019 which needs to be produced at the exam centre.
According to the TISSNET MBA Exam Pattern 2019, the test will comprise of questions pertaining to General Awareness, English Language, Logical Reasoning and Mathematics. The total duration of TISSNET MBA 2019 will be 1 Hour 40 Minutes. TISS NET MBA 2019 will not have negative marking and the total marks allotted to the admission components is 225. Candidates who qualify the test will be able to continue with further rounds of the TISSNET MBA 2019 selection procedure – Pre-Interview Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview which will decide on the final admission.
