Personal Interview (PI) Shortlisting Criteria CAP and SAP Process

The 9 IIMs (IIM Jammu, IIM Bodhgaya, IIM Kashipur, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Sambalpur, IIM Sirmaur, IIM Trichy and IIM Udaipur) together will conduct Personal Interview (PI) through common admission process (CAP 2025 process). In addition to the Common Admission Process, as mentioned, IIM Jammu conducts an additional Supplementary Admission Process (SAP 2025) in collaboration with IIM Bodhgaya.

Candidates who have not received a call for CAP 2025 will receive separate communication based on the shortlist criteria. The Personal Interview (PI) will be conducted through a separate process (SAP) 2025.

The above IIM Jammu selection criteria are the minimum requirement to be fulfilled by the candidates for being considered for shortlisting for the PI process and are intended to be the eligibility criteria and do not imply entitlement. However, the criteria, i.e., individual sectional percentile and the overall percentile may be lowered/ relaxed if the actual number of shortlisted candidates is found to be less than the required number of candidates to be called for the PI process in one or more categories.

The relaxation in the cut-off criteria ensures a sufficient number of candidates for each of the categories for the PI process. The participating IIMs reserve the right to have a higher cut-off than those mentioned above.

Have a question related to CAT ?

Whether you do when MBA in India or in abroad it depends on several factors, including your academic background work experience . They both have their advantages and disadvantages. MBA in India is generally more affordable than International programs and their strong Local Network that can help you secure jobs in the Indian companies. You will be more familar and with the Indian business environment. And it also has a strong focus on the Indian market. That disadvantages would be there is less Global exposure. And also the ROI might be lower compared to the international programs. If you do MBA and abroad you will gain exposure to diverse cultures and business practices .you  connect with leaders from  outside world and also industry professionals. You will have a higher ROI also will have access to latest business trends.Disadvantages would be that the tuition fees is very high and also the Visa and the immigration processes can be Complex you have to adapt to a new culture so that can be difficult too. but as you have a lack of work experience then MBA in India might be a more practical choice. if you have strong Academic credentials and can secure good GMAT scores you can consider trying to top International program. You must gain some work experience and also aim for a high GMAT score. Even with bad academic background, you can cover that up with some work experience, if you want t go ahead without these 2 then aim for an excellent score in CAT OR GMAT an prepare for interviews as well. You can definitely succeed. GMAT

Hello,

Admission to the National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), Hyderabad, with a CAT 2024 percentile of 77 may not be easy. MANAGE usually has strict admission standards, and even though the cut-off percentile may differ every year, depending upon the number of applicants and overall performance, general cut-offs for institutes like MANAGE are usually more than 77, especially for the most popular programs.

MANAGE, however, takes into account multiple factors while making the selections, including CAT score, academic record, work experience, and performance in personal interviews. So, having good academic credentials or having relevant work experience may even help you get selected.

You should refer to the authentic MANAGE website or current updates for cut-off trends of your course and attempt to apply to as many institutes as possible to expand your choices.

Two friends Moloy and Niloy passed out from the Purulia Institute of Science and Technology with B.Tech degrees in Mechanical Engineering, but even after a year placement was hard to find. So they decided to take the challenge head-on, came down to Kolkata, rented a garage space on Park Street, and having an affinity towards making people enjoy good food, started their firm named 'B.Tech Bread-Omlette Wala'.

They started with three items on the menu. One was the French Toast which could be prepared in 3 minutes. The second was the Egg Tortillas which took 15 minutes to prepare. Any one of Moloy and Niloy could prepare any one of them at a time. The third was the Egg Bhurji with French Fries. This however was prepared on an automated fryer which could prepare 3 servings at a time and took 5 minutes irrespective of the number of servings equal to or below 3. The fryer did not need anyone to attend to it, and the time to put in the raw ingredients could be neglected. So one could tend to the preparation of other items while the Egg Bhurji with French Fries were being prepared.

They wanted to serve the orders as early as possible after the order was given. The individual items in any order were served as and when all the items were ready, and the order was then considered closed. None of the items on the menu were prepared in advance in anticipation of future orders.

On the first day, 3 groups of customers came in and ordered at 6.00 pm, 6.10 pm, and 6.13 pm. The first order was for a plate of Egg Tortillas, two plates of French Toast, and three plates of Egg Bhurji with French Fries. The second order was for a plate of French Toast and two plates of Egg Bhurji with French Fries. The third order was for a plate of Egg Tortilla and a plate of Egg Bhurji with French Fries.

On the backdrop of the above information answer the questions given :

Question:

A fourth customer comes in and orders two plates of French Toast at 6.24 pm. Suppose Moloy and Niloy had decided to process multiple orders at the same time, however strictly prioritising a first come first serve basis. For exactly how many minutes would one of the friends be idle from 6.00 pm till serving the last customer, assuming that the four customers were the only ones to have come in within the period being discussed ?
