About MICAT 2025
MICAT 2025 exam dates will be released by MICA on its official website, mica.ac.in, soon. Candidates seeking PGDM-C/PGDM admission in MICA must appear for the MICAT exam and have a valid score in CAT/XAT/GMAT. If the MICAT exam schedule is similar to the previous sessions, the first phase of the MICAT exam will be held in the first week of December. The second phase examination will be held in the last week of January. MICA will make the MICAT 2025 registration for both the exam phases separately on the official website. As per the last-year schedule, the MICAT exam 2025 application window is expected to open as soon as this month. The admit card for the MICAT 2025 entrance exam will be issued three to four days before the exam. What is MICAT Exam?
MICA Admission Test (MICAT) is a computer-based test (CBT) conducted for MICA's PGP courses, including Post Graduate Diploma in Management–Communications (PGDM-C) and Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM). The MICAT exam is conducted twice a year in 48 cities across the country. The MICAT exam is a collection of objective and subjective questions in various sections. The examination consists of three sections, namely:
- Section A: Psychometric Test
- Section B: Descriptive Test
- Section C: Divergent and Convergent Thinking; Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, and General Awareness.
MICA conducts the MICAT examination in two phases, namely MICAT I and MICAT II. A better of the two MICAT scores is considered. Admission to MICA takes place through a single-tier filtering process: CAT/XAT/GMAT performance; performance in the MICAT exam; and performance in GE and PI. The final composite score will be generated based on the following weightage:
- MICAT: 30%
- CAT/XAT/GMAT: 20%
- GE: 20%
- Personal Interview: 30%

MICA will begin the MICAT 2025 registration process soon in online mode. Candidates can fill out and submit the MICAT 2025 application form by visiting the official website, mica.ac.in. After filling out the MICAT exam 2025 application form, candidates of all categories have to pay a fee of Rs. 2100. The MICAT application fee can be paid via debit card, credit card, or demand draft.

How to Fill MICAT Exam Form 2025
Check out the below steps to fill out the MICAT exam 2024 registration form.
Step 1: Registration for MICAT: Firstly, Candidates have to register by using their valid email address and password.
Step 2: Fill an application form of MICAT 2025: After registration, candidates have to fill all the information, such as personal details, academic details, and work experience (if any) and select at least three preferred exam centres from the list available. Candidates have to select the city where they would like to present for the group exercise and personal interview.
Step 3: Exam selection: Candidates should select the test in which they have appeared: CAT/ XAT/ GMAT
Step 4: Upload Photo and Signature: Candidates have to upload their scanned photograph and signature with a file size not more than 80 KB and in jpg or jpeg format.

MICA will release the MICAT 2025 syllabus in online mode along with the official brochure. The MICAT exam syllabus sections include General Awareness, Verbal Ability, Subjective Questions, and Psychometric Tests.
- Psychometric Test: This section aims to assess the candidate's behavior, including thinking skills, personality traits, strengths, and weaknesses. They are based on life goals, life goals and situational judgment. Candidates should answer these questions honestly and openly.

MICA will announce the MICAT exam 2025 result tentatively in the last week of December. The MICAT 2025 result will be declared in the form of a scorecard. The MICAT 2025 result mentions the qualifying status of the candidate. To check the MICAT 2025 exam result, candidates have to enter their login credentials in the login window.
How to check MICAT 2025 result?
- Go to the official website, mica.ac.in.
- Fill in the MICAT application number and password.
- Press the 'Get Result' tab.

The MICAT final result will be computed after the GE and PI rounds are completed. Selection, i.e., the final MICAT result, will be on the basis of the CAT/XAT/GMAT performance, MICAT scores, and performance in GE & PI.
The minimum marks that candidates need to be considered eligible for the next round of selection is defined as MICAT 2025 cutoff. MICA takes the following factors into consideration while preparing the MICAT 2025 cutoff.

Candidates who are going to appear for the entrance exam should know that the MICAT exam process consists of four steps, as explained below:
Step-I: Valid Scores in CAT/ XAT/ GMAT
All applicants must have a valid score in any one: CAT/ XAT/ GMAT. The scores of these national-level management entrance exams will be considered in the compilation of the final merit list. CAT 2024/ XAT 2025/ GMAT score should be entered while filling out the online application form of MICAT. For the XAT score, only XAT registration number should be mentioned. Authority will collect XAT score directly from XLRI.
Step-II: MICA Admission Test (MICAT 2025).
MICAT is the computer based test held in exam centres across 48 cities in the country. The test has three sections, as mentioned below
- Section A: Psychometric Test
- Section B: Descriptive Test
- Section C: (has 4 Sub-Sections) - Divergent and Convergent Thinking; Verbal ability, Quantitative ability and Data Interpretation and General awareness.
Step-III: Group Exercise & Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will appear for both Group Exercise (GE) & Personal Interview (PI) on the basis of their performance in CAT/ XAT/GMAT and MICAT.
Step-IV: Candidates will be offered admission on the basis of the final composite score compiled as follows;

How will candidates be shortlisted for GE & PI rounds?
For GE & PI, the Psychometric test will be the first step to qualify.
Those who will qualify in the Psychometric test, their CAT/XAT/GMAT performance will be taken into consideration
Those who will qualify based on the CAT/XAT cutoff or GMAT score will further be assessed on the following MICAT sections: Verbal ability (VA), Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation (QADI), General Awareness (GA), and Divergent and Convergent Thinking (DCT).
Those candidates who will qualify on the basis of performance subject to a minimum cutoff in a scaled score for each of these sections (namely: VA, QADI, GA and DCT) and CAT/XAT cut-off or GMAT scores will have their Descriptive Tests analysed for selection.
Note: The list of qualified candidates will be prepared on the basis of scores of both phases of MICAT 2025 entrance exam if a candidate has taken both MICAT-I and MICAT-II.

MICAT 2025 GD and PI Process
PGDM/ PGDM-C Admission to MICA takes place through a single-tier filtering process; performance in CAT/XAT/GMAT; performance in the MICAT test, and performance in GE and PI.
MICAT Shortlisting Criteria for GE and PI and Preparation of Final Merit List
Step 1: Section-A (psychometric test) is first checked. This section is a qualifier.
Step 2: Those who qualify through Section-A, their relative performance on the CAT exam/ XAT test/ GMAT exam is considered. A minimum cutoff in CAT/GMAT score/XAT total percentile shall be considered (Best of the 3 scores is considered.)
Step 3: Those who qualify based on the performance in CAT/XAT/GMAT, their Section C (all sub-sections) of MICAT is assessed.
- Section-C scores are normalized. The evaluation uses percentiles and raw scores for each sub-section and requires a minimum cut-off.
- Those who qualify through Section-C, their performance in Section-B is evaluated.
- NOTE: Both Section-C and Section-B have a sectional cutoff (percentile and raw scores).
- Those who qualify through Step 1, Step 2 and Step 3 will be considered for GE and PI shortlisting. Candidates who are shortlisted will be called for GE and PI at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata, or Mumbai.
- NOTE: GE and PI candidate lists are prepared using the composite score formula of 50% MICAT scores and 50% CAT/XAT/GMAT scores.
Step 4: Candidates who appear in GE and PI must be recommended by majority of the panelists of PI to be considered for the final merit list

On February 17, 2022, MICA, Ahmedabad, announced the MICAT 2022 result for phase 2 on mica.ac.in. Using their login credentials, candidates may check the MICAT 2022 phase 2 result. MICAT result 2022 has been emailed to applicants' registered email addresses, and students who took the entrance exam can now verify their qualifying status.
To check the result, follow the below mentioned steps:
Visit MICA Ahmedabad's main website at mica.ac.in.
Select "MICAT 1 Result" from the drop-down menu.
On the screen, a candidate login window will display.
Click the "Login" tab after entering the user ID and password.
Download the MICAT scorecard 2022 and check your qualifying status.

MICAT Syllabus - Psychometric Test
Basically, this is a personality test and this section is different from other management entrance examinations. It is mandatory for the candidates to attempt all the questions in this section. Some of the important aspects related to the test are explained below.
In this section, the questions are designed to assess the candidates’ behavior which includes thinking ability, personality, strengths and weaknesses etc. Questions are based on career goals, life goals, situational judgement. Candidates should answer the questions with honesty and open mind
Multiple-choice questions are asked.
Duration allotted for the psychometric test is 25 minutes.
According to previous year sample papers, in the first set of questions, out of the three options candidates should select the option which describes their behavior in the best way.
In the second set of MICAT questions, candidates were asked to give a rating on a scale of 1 to 6 for the responses in terms of their priority under a certain scenario. Around 8 to 10 questions were asked in the entrance exam.

There is no such minimum cutoff to apply for MICAT - II . However, if you are having good scores of CAT/XAT you will have good chances to get admission in to top institute.
