What is MICAT Exam?

MICA Admission Test (MICAT) is a computer-based test (CBT) conducted for MICA's PGP courses, including Post Graduate Diploma in Management–Communications (PGDM-C) and Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM). The MICAT exam is conducted twice a year in 48 cities across the country. The MICAT exam is a collection of objective and subjective questions in various sections. The examination consists of three sections, namely:

  • Section A: Psychometric Test
  • Section B: Descriptive Test
  • Section C: Divergent and Convergent Thinking; Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, and General Awareness.

MICA conducts the MICAT examination in two phases, namely MICAT I and MICAT II. A better of the two MICAT scores is considered. Admission to MICA takes place through a single-tier filtering process: CAT/XAT/GMAT performance; performance in the MICAT exam; and performance in GE and PI. The final composite score will be generated based on the following weightage:

  • CAT/XAT/GMAT: 35%
  • MICAT: 25%
  • GE: 10%
  • PI: 20%
