Can I Get Admission In TISS If MY 10th & 12th Score Are Below 60% & Graduation Scoure is Above 70%

Pooja Kumari 28th Mar, 2020

Hello Prajwal,

The eligibility criteria for different Post graduation courses differ a bit from each other. Usually they ask for a minimum percentage of 60% in graduation and the subject you want to do your PG with. So you have chances to get admission in TISS. Once you apply for your Course successfully then you will have to get through the entrance exam conducted by TISS.

For more information about the Institute, you can refer to the following link-

All the best! :)

my 10th is 82% 12th is in medical with 80% and grad in bsc medical with 52% which college is best for me for MBA degree jbims/fms Delhi/ nitie Mumbai/ tiss

srikar kanakala 28th Mar, 2020

Dear Shivika,

The academic percentages you have in your 10th and 12th are commendable. They alone are good enough to get you into a prestigious MBA college. Coming to your percentage in your Bachelor's degree is something that might concern you. Since, most of the MBA colleges in India on an average look for 60 or above percentage starting from your 10th to your Bachelor's degree.

But it is not something to be worried if you want to get into the colleges you have mentioned in your query. If you have written Entrance exams like CAT, MAT or CMAT then you are well aware that there are cut offs based on which you will have to undergo selection process.

Coming, to JBIMS Mumbai and FMS Delhi, both fit under your eligibility criteria. Now if we compare both the college, each one has their own speciality. But if you are looking for certain domain to pursue your MBA in any of these college, It is advisable to go for FMS Delhi since it is considered to under the unique privilege to be a part of FMS and also return on investment in the fee structure is an add on advantage than JBIMS Mumbai.

Unfortunately, Nitie Mumbai seeks 60% or above as an eligibility criteria for Bachelor's degree and if we look for TISS Mumbai, it offers MA program and specializes in MA in Human Resource Management which is equivalent to MBA in HR. Speaking of fee structure, TISS Mumbai is comparatively low than JBIMS and FMS.

Now based on criteria like fees, infrastructure, curriculum, etc. It depends as to what you want to choose. If you are looking for college with low fee structure you can opt for TISS or FMS. But if you are looking for the best hands on experience in a practical environment you can opt for JBIMS.

can i get admission in TISS with my mat score.......?

Shareef 7th Mar, 2020
No, the College is conducting its own entrance examination for the students for admission in the College. TISSNET is the entrance examination of the College. Now you have no chance for admission,as the examinination is already done in the college.  Mat is especially for the MBA program and the College doesn't offer MBA course

is it worth to get admission to tiss

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 26th Feb, 2020

see if you are asking about undergraduate program there is only b.a program on social science is available in TISS guwahati campus, so for ug course it is not worth to join tiss since there is many more top ranked colleges in india which offers better course curriculum.

now if you are opting for masters course, then you may opt for  Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, because of its great establishment for research.
