TISSNET 2018 - The final result of TISSNET 2018 has been declared on April 27, 2018. TATA Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai conducted its Entrance Test - TISSNET 2018 on January 6. After the declaration of result on January 27, the Pre Interview Test (PIT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds were conducted from February 27 to March 29, 2018. This exam allows candidates to take admissions in 55 Masters in Social Science programmes across the five campuses of TISS – Mumbai, Hyderabad, Guwahati, Tuljapur and Chennai (Banyan). TISSNET 2018 was an online objective type entrance test, divided into four sections. The test was held in 39 cities across the country. The medium of the test was English. Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for selection procedure consisting of Pre-Interview Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds. TISSNET 2018 Analysis
According to the expert analysis of TISSNET 2018, the exam was of easy to the moderate difficulty level. The overall exam pattern and structure followed the last year's exam pattern. The GK section had questions mostly from current affairs. Quantitative Ability was also easy and covered topics from Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Higher Math and Data Interpretation. Verbal Ability section was of easy to moderate difficulty level. There were two Reading Comprehension passages and other questions were on English Usage.
The final admission result has been declared on April 27, 2018. The admission offers have to be accepted by May 8, 2018. The result of TISSNET 2018 was announced on January 27, 2018. Candidates can check their TISSNET Result 2018 by using their email id and password. Candidates can check if they have been shortlisted for Pre-Interview Test and Personal Interview. Shortlisted candidates would need to download the detailed application form which will be available from the third week of February.
The cutoff for TISSNET is the minimum marks required to qualify the entrance exam. According to experts, the TISSNET 2018 cutoff is expected to be in the range of 72+/-2 (For General Category). On the basis of cutoff, candidates will be selected for the next round of selection procedure – GD & PI. Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, decides the cutoff marks for TISSNET. However, the TISSNET 2018 cutoff will be announced category-wise.

The TISSNET 2018 admit card was available online from December 21, 2017. Candidates can download their admit card using their email id and password provided at the time of registration. Admit cards of TISSNET 2018 has been issued to the candidates who have submitted the TISSNET application form along with the required documents and application fee. Admit cards will not be sent by post. Candidates without admit card cannot appear for TISSNET 2018.
TISSNET 2018 will have multiple choice questions (MCQs) related to General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, Analytical Ability and English proficiency. TISSNET 2018 will have 100 questions carrying 100 marks. The exam will be of 1 Hour 40 Minutes.

TISS Mumbai, the official body of TISSNET, declares the eligibility criteria as follows:
Candidates with three year’s Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognised university are eligible to apply.
Candidates studying in three and four-year degree programmes should have passed in all the subjects of semester 1 to semester 4 and semester 1 to semester 6 respectively.
Candidates studying in the final year of their degree programme are also eligible to apply.
The application form of TISSNET 2018 was available from October 24, 2017, untill December 8. Candidates can apply for a maximum of three courses across any of the two campuses using a single application form. Using more than one application form to apply in multiple courses will lead to cancellation of all the forms. TISNET 2018 application forms with invalid documents may also get cancelled. Those who do not have access to internet or reside in a remote area can send their request to TISS Mumbai for printed application form.
Candidates could apply for TISSNET 2018 through online and offline modes both as per their convenience.
How to Apply Online mode – Candidates had to visit the official website to fill and submit the application form along with the application fee.
How to Apply Offline mode – To get a printed copy of the application form, candidates could send request by Speed Post along with the application fee to Assistant Registrar (Academic), Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Deonar, Mumbai 400088.
