CAT Slot 2 Analysis 2023: The CAT 2023 slot 2 exam has concluded on November 26. CAT exam answer key 2023 was released today, December 5. According to the CAT slot 2 test takers, the paper was moderate. As compared to CAT 2023 slot 1, arithmetic questions were more. A few questions were also tricky in the CAT Quant section. In Quant sections 14-15, questions were doable. The DILR section was easy and 2 questions were asked from Median, Boxes that candidates find quite lengthy. According to the CAT slot 2 exam, the question paper has 66 questions. The total duration of the CAT exam 2023 is 120 minutes with 40 minutes sectional time limit. As per the CAT aspirants, the 14 to 15 questions in Quant was doable. A question from sequence and series was difficult. Compared to CAT Slot 1, this slot has more Arithmetic questions. Candidates find that the CAT Slot 2 LRDI section is long. No questions were asked from the Venn diagram, linear equations, games and competitions.

Last year CAT slot 2 exam was conducted on November 27. Last year's CAT slot 2 paper was similar to slot 1 with a total of 66 questions. As per the last year's CAT slot 2 analysis there were 49 MCQs and 17 TITA questions.
As per the CAT 2022 exam analysis, the overall difficulty level of slot 2 was moderate. IT was seen that the CAT slot 2 DILR section was easier than slot 1. However, the Quantitative Aptitude section was tougher than slot 1. As per CAT 2022 slot 2 analysis, the CAT question paper was divided into three sections with a sectional time duration of 40 minutes each. No candidates can switch between sections, hence marking questions carefully within the time allotted becomes a great deal if not practised well in advance.
For each correct answer, three marks will be given to candidates, whereas any wrong answer takes away -1. However, TITA questions do not have any negative markings, but candidates may end up devoting a good amount of time if not taken care of.
The overall difficulty level of the CAT 2022 exam was moderately difficult, as per students who appeared for last year's CAT exam in slot 2. As compared to other sections, the Quantitative Aptitude section was the hardest one. The section on VARC was quite tricky and there were 4 detailed passages.
Some questions also included prejumbles and parajumbles. No questions were posed about synonyms and antonyms. In the Quantitative Aptitude section, most of the questions were from arithmetic and algebra. The DILR segment was mildly challenging and had 4 sets. The segment on mathematics was mildly challenging.

The minimum marks required by candidates to be called upon for further selection rounds is called the CAT 2023 cutoff. IIMs will release their CAT cutoff that candidates need to secure to take part in selection rounds. At the time of calculating cutoffs, IIMs consider various factors such as the difficulty level of CAT, the previous year’s cutoff, and related.
By checking the CAT slot 2 analysis 2023, candidates will be able to gauge their performance and start preparation for selection rounds. CAT result 2023 will be available tentatively by the second week of January 2024.

Both GMAT and CAT exams are considered to be highly competitive. Therefore, it is difficult to measure which one is harder than the other as it depends on the individual strengths ,weaknesses, and personal preferences.
GMAT quant section is often considered to be easier, however, its verbal section is tougher for non-native English speakers. Unfortunately, Based on the marks you scored, it will be difficult to get admitted into NIT Trichy under OBC category. However there is also a second chance for you to attend for JEE, so I recommend you to take that chance and score better.
