Careers360: Tell us something about yourself. (a bit of the background like graduation, place and any such thing)

Kunal: My name is Kunal Bhatia, and I am from Sonipat, Haryana. I completed my schooling in my hometown and always aspired to pursue higher education that blended technical skills with professional growth. Geeta University stood out for its holistic development approach and strong industry integration. I’m currently pursuing my undergraduate degree here and have had the opportunity to grow academically and personally in a highly supportive and modern learning environment.

Careers360: Tell us something about your Geeta University campus and what made you choose it

Kunal: I chose Geeta University because of its future-ready curriculum and its strong emphasis on skill-based learning. The presence of the Geeta Technical Hub and Geeta Finishing School ensures that students are not only academically sound but also industry-ready. The university's ability to blend theoretical knowledge with hands-on training, certifications from global partners like Microsoft, Cisco, and AWS, and its vibrant campus life convinced me that this was the right place to shape my career. The culture of mentorship, innovation, and real-world exposure makes GU a unique academic hub.

Careers360: What is the course you are pursuing at Geeta University, and what made you choose this specialisation?

Kunal: I am pursuing a BBA with a specialisation in Digital Marketing at Geeta University. I chose this program because it aligns perfectly with the digital transformation happening across industries. The curriculum includes real-time projects, certifications, and modules from industry leaders, which provide an edge. Courses like Data Visualisation, Advanced Excel, and simulation-based learning helped solidify my interest. The university's open electives also allowed me to explore complementary skills such as public speaking and content creation, making my learning multidimensional.

Careers360: Summer internship is mandatory in all Geeta University campuses. Where did you pursue it, and what was the duration? What were the steps to get into it?

Kunal: Yes, Geeta University mandates a summer internship as part of its industry-linked curriculum. I completed mine at a reputed marketing agency in Delhi for a duration of eight weeks. The internship was secured through GU’s Placement Cell in collaboration with the Geeta Finishing School. The selection involved a resume shortlisting followed by a virtual interview. Prior to this, the university organised resume-building workshops and mock interviews, which were extremely helpful. The process was smooth and efficiently managed by the placement team.

Careers360: Please give details on the assistance you received from the faculty, peers and placement office with regard to the internships?

Kunal: The support from the Geeta University faculty and placement office was exceptional. My professors guided me on aligning the internship role with my specialisation and helped refine my project scope. The Geeta Finishing School trained us in interview skills, communication, and workplace etiquette. Peer support was also valuable—we discussed interview strategies and shared company research insights. The Placement Cell continuously followed up with recruiters and ensured all students were placed in relevant organisations, making the entire experience seamless and rewarding.

Careers360: How was your experience with the summer internships? What are the key takeaways that you can look back on from it?

Kunal: My summer internship was an eye-opener into the real-world application of my academic knowledge. Working on digital campaigns, analysing customer behaviour, and contributing to live projects gave me a practical edge. Key takeaways include improved communication skills, teamwork, and time management. I also learned how to handle feedback and adapt quickly. The confidence and clarity I gained through this internship were tremendous. It reinforced my passion for marketing and prepared me for corporate challenges ahead. It truly bridged the gap between classroom learning and industry expectations.
