NMAT by GMAC 2017 exam has been concluded on December 20, 2016. The exam had commenced from October 7. The experts have marked the difficulty level of the exam as moderate. The exam was held in computer based mode and the sections had fixed duration. Owing to the absence of negative marking scheme, NMAT by GMAC 2017 was more of a speed test than test of accuracy. Now we will take a look at the section wise analysis of NMAT by GMAC 2017.
The difficulty level of this section was moderate. There were two Reading Comprehension passages carrying four questions each. The RC questions were of easy difficulty level. The types of questions were divided into fact based and inference based. The English Usage questions were on the topics of Para Jumbles, Fill in the Blanks, Error Spotting, Synonym, Antonym, Cloze, Grammar and Analogy.

This section was of easy to moderate difficulty level. Apart from Quants. the Quantitative Skills section included areas of Data Sufficiency and Data Interpretation. There were six questions from Data Sufficiency area and included topics like Numbers, Geometry and Algebra. The difficulty level of Data Interpretation was of moderate to tough difficulty level and were time consuming owing to its complex language. This was the toughest section in the exam. There were around 10 questions from verbal logic and reasoning and their difficulty level was easy to moderate. There were three Critical Reasoning questions which were of moderate level of difficulty. There were few questions from syllogism. The expert further states, “There were two LR sets of 4 questions each. There was a set based on input and output having 4 questions. The S/W argument questions were above average in difficulty. Most of the questions were tricky and time consuming.”

The final result for NMAT by GMAC 2017 will be declared on January 17, 2017. The scores will be accepted by as many as 23 NMAT by GMAC participating institutes.
