Hello Himanshi
IIFT is the national level management entrance exam which is conducted by Indian Institute of Foreign Trade for admission to its MBA (IB) program. Before appearing for the exam, you should know about the detailed eligibility criteria, exam pattern and syllabus of the exam.
IIFT Eligibility CriteriaCandidates should have a graduation degree in any discipline from any recognized institution/college to apply for the exam.Candidates in the final year of Graduation are also eligible to apply for the exam. Final Year students need to submit the relevant academic proof like a certificate of the current semester. There is no age limit to appear for the IIFT entrance exam. Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria can apply for the exam.
Knowing the exam pattern is essential for preparation. IIFT Exam Pattern is as followsQuestions in the exam are asked from six sections- English Grammar, Vocabulary and Comprehension, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation and Quantitative Analysis.Duration of the exam is two hours and there is no sectional time limit to appear for the exam. Practice is the only way which will help you to ace the exam. Daily practice will also help you to increase your speed and accuracy.Speed and Accuracy both are the key factors to perform well in the exam as six sections are needed to be completed in 120 minutes.Try to clear your concepts. If your basic concepts will be clear, you will not face much difficulty in solving the questions. Practice previous year question papers and sample papers. It will help you know about the types of questions asked in the exam, difficulty level of the exam and you can analyse about your weaknesses and strengths by practicing the sample papers.
Some other points which will help you in preparation-- Make a schedule for your studies. Generally students start the preparation with full enthusiasm but get bored by self studying at home. But, this should not happen. You must devote your time to each section.- For General Awareness, stay updated with the latest happenings and current affairs. Regular reading of newspaper will also help you in preparation for this section.- Stay away from negativity and distractions and prepare positively for the exam.
