Indian Institute of Foreign Trade
Hey anjali,
you have a lot of time for the logical reasoning and aptitude syllabus of the exam. It can be completed within 6 to 8 months. But you should start focusing on the GK part and start preparing for it as soon as possible. The more time you give to GK and current affairs the more chances you will have of clearing the exam. Also start preparing for the rest of the syllabus in the 2nd or 3rd year of college.
All the best!!
Hello Aditya...your marks doesn't matter if you wanna take admission in iift ..there are mainly three steps...
1.written test(iift exam)
After clearing this exam you moved to point 2
2.Essay writing
3. GD or personal interviews
If you wanna know about it more...then you may again put your query in carrer360... thank you for asking!
Hey Ani,
Sorry to inform you but I don't think it's a good thing, because expected cutoff for this year is 35 plus at Delhi, Kolkata and Kakinada campuses.
Hey!
I wish you could, but you at least need to have a graduation degree, which is 10+2+3 years. Work-experience isn't compulsory. So, prepare well during your undergrad, and clear IIFT in one go. As soon you pass out college. Best wishes in advance.
Hi Sanjana,
The cut off changes every year and depends on various factors such as total no.of students, difficulty level etc. In the below link you can check previous years category wise and sectional wise cut off.

On the basis of the score of the candidates and a few other factors, the IIFT 2016 Cutoff will be dependent.
They are:
IIFT 2016 Sectional cutoff expected:
Data Interpretation+ Quantitative Ability 15
General Knowledge 6+
Reading Comprehension+ Verbal Ability 14+
Logical Reasoning 8+
Hope this helps you!!
The cut off last year for SC category was 20 marks, which was near about 65 percentile. But, to be in a much safer side you would need 10 percent less then the general category cut off. As students generally score more than the expected cut off. So, if you are even 24-25. You will have less chances. Best wishes for IIFT.
Hey Neha!
Quant will be tuff compared to other sections. Questions regarding topics like Probability, Circle or Geometry are given in huge numbers. Plus, try to focus on DI as the questions in this section are pretty easy just a lot more calculation based. Just by coming to an approximate answer with simple tricks learned through YouTube you can ace it. English is pretty basic, much like the CAT. Loads of RC. Secondly, don't miss out on GK, do purchase the Manorama book for this year. And, go through it once. You can easily ace 60-70% of the questions. In IIFT, you need to first clear the sectional cut-off then the overall one. So, don't ignore the GK part. Prepare well and ace it. Hope to see you as my junior. Best wishes!
The overall cut off for every category, whether general, OBC yeah SC differs from year to year. Last year the cut off for OBC was around 30 marks, which is not more than 82 to 85 percentile. Try to reduce 5-6 marks from general category cut off, that will give you an idea of OBC Category.
Hii Anita..Expected cutoff being 31-35. Data intrepretation-0.75, Logical reasoning- 4.5, General knowledge-1, Reading comprehension- 2.5, verbal ability- 3.25, quantitative aptitude- 3.25.
