IIM Admission Criteria and Selection Process
The admission and selection process for MBA/ PGP 2025-27 batch in IIM and other top B-schools will begin after the conclusion of CAT exam. The admission process involves several stages to ensure a comprehensive assessment of candidates.
- CAT score: The first and most important thing a candidate must be fulfilled is a valid score in the CAT examination. Admission to IIMs is only done through the CAT examination. The old IIMs like IIM Bangalore, IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Calcutta, IIM Lucknow, and IIM Kozhikode offer admission with a CAT percentile of 99+ and the new IIMs like IIM Mumbai, IIM Kashipur, IIM Bodh Gaya, IIM Vizhakhapattanam, and others shortlist candidates with CAT percentiles ranging from 85 to 90.
- WAT/GD: After the release of the IIM shortlist, the shortlisted candidates will be called for the written ability test or group discussion.
- Personal Interview: The final stage of the selection process includes a Personal Interview (PI), which plays a vital role in determining a candidate's suitability for the program.
- Final admission results: After completing the IIM selection process, the final IIM results will be announced. The final IIM result is released based on the composite score of the candidate.
