i have scored 69.903 percentile in XAT 2020 and i am a general category female student. Please suggest some decent colleges where I can apply for admission.

Pranav Mishra 18th Jan, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

XAT is considered as the most toughest exam in MBA and you have got a nice percentile in the exam but however y our percentile is little bit on low side as in XAT if you get 75-80 percentile you have options like KJ SOMAIYA GIM We School etc.

On this percentile you can get colleges like -:

BIMTECH GREATER NOIDA

XISS RANCHI (GOOD FOR HR)

IMT NAGPUR AND HYDERABAD

SIES MUMBAI

NL DALMIA MUMBAI

SDMIMD MYSORE

IPE HYEDRAHYD

KJSIMR (Last year cutoff was 72 so you can apply for a chance)

I hope the above information is beneficial for you.

All the best.

I have got 28 percentile in XAT, what colleges I can get in that?

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 16th Jan, 2020
With your XAT percentile you may not get any good colleges. But you should certainly wait for other management entrance exams like CMAT or February MAT to select colleges. Meanwhile you can also appear for the written exam of IBSAT which would give you options for 9 colleges depending just on your performance in the GD/PI rounds. You can also apply for ITM group of institutions for colleges other than ITM Navi Mumbai.

xat 2020 got in total 98 percentile but DM scored 16.524 percentage which is showing 49.407percentile... how is that possible?

SAKSHI KULSHRESHTHA 17th Jan, 2020

Percentile refers to your relative performance with respect to the other candidates. X percentile means that you scored better than X% of the total candidates.

On the other hand, XAT percentage is like the normalised score which you got in the exam. So if in Decision Making section, your percentage is 16.524 and percentile is 49.407, it means that your normalised score is 16.524 and you did better than 49.407% of the appearing candidates.

A total of 98 percentile means that your total score was better than 98% of the students. Even with 49 percentile in DM, you got a very good overall percentile. The reason behind this would be because your percentile in the other two sections- Quantitative ability and Verbal and logical ability must be really high. This would be because of high percentages in those sections, resulting in a better total percentage and hence a better total percentile. Hope it helps.

i got very less percentile in XAT but 80 percentile in verbal section is there any options for me which more look into English section only like MICA ahemdabad who only look upto verbal score in English CAT exam

Archita Aggarwal 16th Jan, 2020

Hello

It's very good that you have score 80 percentile in verbal section , however XAT Percentile is equally important. Performance is calculated on the overall scores there is no thing like more or less focus. Keep trying, you will get through this soon.

Hope this answer helps.
