according to your query participation certificate is not vaild if you own the game and got a certified certificate then it is vaild your participation certificate doesnt come under sports quota eligibility but ones ask document verification person during your couselling wheather valid or not because at our time it is not valid so ones ask him to comfirm my word

If you are a non local student then go through the following statement. 

Residence Certificate: Candidates who have resided in the State for a total period of 10 years excluding periods of study outside the State; or either of whose parents have resided in the State for a total period of 10 years excluding periods of employment outside the State.
