With your SNAP percentile you can get a call from these colleges

All these colleges require a percentile of 85 and below  but make sure you've applied for them. If you have applied for these colleges during your SNAP registration then only you'll be getting a call from them.

Hi Shalini,

As you have secured a average percentile score in CAT. And to get other IIM , you need to have a CAT percentile of 95+. As you have secured only 73 percentile in CAT you would only get call from other institutes. On the percentile secured by you in CAT Exam , you will get some good colleges. The colleges you get are:

  • IMT Hyderabad
  • BITS Pilani
  • JNU Jaipur
  • Gautam Budh University Greater Noida
  • MDSU Ajmer

After the declaration of the result the merit list will be made  to call the candidate for the interview round. The merit list comprises of your CAT percentile, your graduation marks, your work experience, your 10th and 12th marks. You would get a call from the above institutes.

Also, your SNAP percentile is also good. you will get few colleges for MBA on the score of SNAP:

  • SIDTM Pune

why there is a huge difference between score and percentile in snap exam and many students with the same marks are getting very different percentile

Soumya Kanta Sarkar 12th Jan, 2020

HI Raj,

Percentile and score does not remain same throughout every year of SNAP exam. It varies greatly with the difficulty of the questions and the number of test takers across the country. When I had appeared for SNAP in 2017, with a consolidated score of 55, my percentile was 98.2134 to be precise because the highest(that is 100 percentile) was somewhat around 70-75 marks .While for some other year, the 100 percentile was somewhat around 85-95 marks. So, it all depends on the questions that are set for that year.

Another thing is that, this is the concept of percentile and not percentage. So the moment you will go up, there the difference will start increasing for even a small amount of change in marks. It is almost similar to a bell curve distribution. The scores of all the candidates are uniformly distributed with the highest taken as 100 percentile and depending upon the highest, the other percentile scores are calculated.

Now, the same marks can fetch you different percentiles because that is how SNAP removes the tie in score. One of the factors that causes this are the sectional percentiles and error rates. There can be other factors too, of removing these ties.

The colleges that come under SNAP are:

1.SIBM,Pune

2.SIIB

3.SCMHRD

4.SIBM,Bengaluru

5.SIBM, Hyderabad

6.SSBF

7.SITM

8.SIOM

9.SCIT

10.SIMS

11.SICSR

12.SIHS

13.SSMC

I hope I have been able to solve your query. Do write to us in case of any confusion or anything that you want to know regarding MBA and I would be happy to help. All the best!!!

I have scored 63 percentile in Cat ,166 marks in Nmat and 47 marks in Snap. Can I get a good college ?

Sudarshan kumar 10th Jan, 2020

According to your CAT percentile you may get in these colleges:-

  1. Christ University Bangalore.
  2. Amrita Business School.
  3. BITS Pilani.
  4. IILM Delhi.
  5. Doon Business School.
  6. MET Mumbai.
  7. IES Mumbai.
  8. Chetana Mumbai.

And according to your NMAT score you can't get into any NMIMS branch and then the college in which you can get admissions are not worth.

And according to your SNAP score you can get into

1-SIMC,PUNE

2- SCIT,PUNE

3-SIMS,PUNE.

But according to me you should not take admission in any of these and prepare for 1 more year, next year you get some better colleges.
