my overall SNAP 2019 percentile i s 59.9 and Im from general category, so Is this percentile of any use?

SAKSHI KULSHRESHTHA 10th Jan, 2020

Shambhavi, SIBM Nagpur and SSSS Pune accept 55+ percentile in SNAP. So you can get a call from them. SIBM Hyderabad and SIHS Pune accept a percentile of 60+. Top colleges like SIBM Pune, SCMHRD Pune, SIIB Pune and SIBM Bangalore accept students above 90 percentile only.

Although, SIBM Nagpur and SSSS Pune are not one of the top colleges under SNAP and do not have a very good ROI. So I would rather suggest you to either take a drop this year and aim for at least 85 percentile in the next exam or go for some other college if you have a better possibility through other exams like CAT. Hope it helps.

at 59%ile which snap colleges can i get call from?

Nihal Kumar Gupta Student Expert 10th Jan, 2020

Hi Suman,

As you have secured a average percentile score in SNAP exam. As you have secured only 59 percentile in SNAP you would only get call from other institutes. On the percentile secured by you, you have a chance to few few colleges. The colleges you get are:

Symbiosis Institute of business, Hyderabad-- MBA Course

SIHS Pune --- MBA IN hospital management

SSSS Pune--- MBA in sports management

these are the only colleges, from which you would get a call.

Hello Kislay,

Hooe you are doing great. Congratulations on your SNAP score. You have a chance of  gettimg shortlisted for SIBM Pune at this percentile. It is quite dicey to say that other SIBMs might also call. But, yeah you may try your luck. Afterall, the shortlisting is based on every dynamics of your previous years scores including the academic as well as work experiences.

So, hope for the best !

All the best for Admissions!

Thank-you !

Hey Kunal,

85 percentile can get you a call from the following institutes:
  • SIBM, Bangaluru.- 85
  • SIOM, Nashik.-80
  • SITM.-83
  • SCIT.-75
  • SSBF.-60
  • SICSR.-55
  • SIMC.-70
The figures stated above are the expected percentile of the given colleges. Once you apply and get shortlisted, you will have to go through written ability test, group discussion and personal interview. All these are important factors in admission, so if you perform well, then you can definitely get admission in the institute.

Hi, I have 45.75 Marks in Snap. Do I have chances in any of the campuses?

Harshita Gupta 10th Jan, 2020
Hey Sukanya,

45 marks means that your percentile will be around 70-72. So, you can apply in SIMC, SICSR, SSBF, and SCIT.
All these colleges have cutoffs between 55-70. So, you may get a call.
Once you get shortlisted, you will have to appear in written ability test, group discussion, and personal interview as well. If you perform well in all of these, you may get admission.

You can also use our pathfinder to get more information.

Hello,

The marking scheme of snap have changed this year last year every question were of 1 mark + gk ,this year they have removed gk part + they have changed the complete marking system now you get +1.5 for every right answer in VARC + LR and -0.375 were as last year it was +1 and -0.25 .though the qa part marking remains the same but there is huge boost in mark due to VARC and LR

Sir already dropped one year after graduation for preparing cat and now I scored really pathetic in cat(49 percentile), xat, snap and Nmat too. Im really confused now that what to do next, should I drop one more year or take admission in any of the average college ?

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 10th Jan, 2020
With your CAT percentile you may not get any good colleges but there are many colleges which select candidates based on their performance in the GD/PI rounds and they don't require you to score much in CAT. You just have to be presentable and show yourself as employable. You can apply for NDIM New Delhi and JIMS Rohini. You can also go for the written exam of IBSAT. They are decent colleges and will provide you a decent job opportunity.

If you have already dropped for a year then it won't be wise enough to drop again because that would create a lot of problems during placements. Some companies like Vedanta, Tata Motors and many other reputed organizations require you to have a maximum academic gap of 1 year.

Do considering all these facts and without further ado you should apply for the above mentioned colleges.
