I didnt fill for SITM eatlier but now after the SNAP results are, I think its a decent option. Is there any possibility now?

Kanupriya Gupta 14th Jan, 2020

Dear Aspirant,

Let's look at the dates for the registration:

So, the registrations for SNAP and SITM began on 16th of August, 2019 and the last date to apply for it and pay the fees for SNAP was 23rd of November 2019. The last date of online registration for SITM was 12th of January, that was this Sunday, two days after the SNAP results. Any candidate who has secured 50% marks in his/her graduation were eligible to apply for the course.

SNAP stands for Symbiosis National Aptitude Test and this is the first step to the entrance of the institute. It is followed by GE-PIWAT or Group Exercise, Personal Interview and Writing Ability Test, which provides you the admission into SIDTM, one of the best B-schools across the country.

According to the given selection process,SNAP carries 50% of the weightage for admission and rest 10-30-10% is divided among GE-PIWAT. Once the results for SNAP are declared, SIDTM admits only those candidates who have applied, registered and paid for it.

Here is where the answer to your query becomes problematic because this is the exact criterion which the institute requires. It also states in its admission criteria that while filling the form, it is important to fill for SITM and pay the fees when applying for SNAP, and unfortunately you seem to have missed this detail at both the places.

Here are the links to Symbiosis' official statements:

So, I regret to inform you, that if you haven't done so, you cannot move forward towards SITM even if you have good results which are valid for SITM.

Hope this helps. All the best!

I didnt fill for SITM eatlier but now after the SNAP results are, I think its a decent option. Is there any possibility now?

SAKSHI KULSHRESHTHA 14th Jan, 2020

Tushar, the deadline for applying for SITM and paying the registration fees for it was 12th January 2020. The shortlist is scheduled to be released on 17 January.

Please note that you can get a call from any of the Symbiosis colleges under SNAP only if you had applied for it during the registration period. You would not get a call if you have not registered for the college even if you fulfill their cutoff percentile and other eligibility criteria.

Since you have crossed the application date, I am sorry but you won't be able to register for SITM and get a call now. For more details and important dates for SITM, you can visit their official website: https://www.sitm.ac.in/home/schedule

Niranjana, with 94.18 percentile, you can get a call from most colleges like SIIB Pune and SIBM Bangalore. Although SIBM Pune and SCMHRD Pune are not possible for now as they require a percentile of 98 and 97 percentile respectively.

Now you can get a call from the other colleges since you have a good SNAP percentile. Also your academic performance and work experience are also good. You can get a call from the colleges for the subsequent rounds.

Now the SNAP score accounts for only 50 marks. The remaining 50 marks can be obtained through Group exercise (10 marks), Personal interview (30 marks) and Written ability test (10 marks). You need to ace these rounds to convert the call into final admission at these institutions. All the best.
