MSRIM or AIMS Bangalore, which is better in terms of placement? If possible, please tell me the MAT cutoff scores of both the colleges.

Abhishek Roy 12th Feb, 2021

I believe you should prefer MS Ramaiah Institute of Management over AIMS Bangalore. MSRIM has great infrastructure, faculty as well as a strong reputation and employer outlook of Ramaiah University. Being located near IT, Corporate and Finance Hubs of Bengaluru provide excellent scope and impetus to training and placements.

My MAT Dec-2020 score is 563.50 i.e., 58.04 percentile. Will I get a call from SDMIMD, Mysore?

harshitasharansrivastava Student Expert 11th Feb, 2021

Hello Dear,

As you have not mentioned your category for which you have applied in this examination. If we consider the previous year cutoff it was around 77 percentile for general so it is difficult for you to get in in general category. Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development, commonly called SDMIMD is in Mysore since 1993. It offers various courses under Management stream that features PGDM, PGCM, and PGPSM for those with Bachelor’s degrees.

Do i have to apply for the college separately that i have mentioned in my MAT form fill up ??

theeanonymous 2nd Jan, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

No , it is not required. While filling in MAT application form , you will be allowed to give five college choices to which you need not separately apply as AIIMA will send your profile and application to those institutions . After result declaration , based on your score , you will receive interview call letter if you qualify their cutoff . Apart from those 5 ,you can apply separately to other universities or colleges as well by visiting their official website. You will have to pay separately for that.

around 20000 students appearing in december mat exam and i attempted 56 questions with 90% accuracy soo how much percetile i get

harshitasharansrivastava Student Expert 24th Dec, 2020
Hi dear,

It is very difficult to predict your percentile on the basis of number of questions you have attempted as percentile os calculated on the basis of following factors:

  • The difficulty level of the entrance exam.
  • Total number of candidates who appear in the entrance exam
  • Total number of seats which are available in any institute or college

The mat exam consist of 200 questions. So As per past trend luck and your no. Of attempts and accuracy you can expect a percentile around 65.
